Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been fired from the reality program following his controversial remarks in GQ magazine regarding homosexuality.
A+E Networks, parent company of A&E, has released the following statement to Variety:
We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertsons comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.
It’s a sin to call a sin a sin.
It’s not that there are not that many homosexuals, it’s that there are heterosexuals who are friendly toward the homosexual movement.
There is no civilized world left, is there?
Longtime gay supporters. Just ask the horrified families whose vacation at Disneyworld happened to coincide with Disneyworld's "Gay Days."
I imagine that today for that family will likely be spent deciding whether to remind the rocket scientists at the network of THEIR terms — and walk. They don’t need the money, they don’t need the grief, they don’t need the NETWORK — or the show.
Or, as an alternative, they could drive to the big city, and get a few things: haircuts, shaves, expensive tailored suits, wingtip shoes, and the fittings necessary to quickly refinish their offices into something that would be at home at — in fact, indistinguishable from — any high ranking executive suite with a corner office.
They can then resume filming — speaking, of course, in proper upscale ivy league English, as they go about the truly exciting business of taking calls about production, component delivery from vendor plants, golf scores, and all the other stuff that makes REAL corporate life so exciting that it’s TOO exciting for any television or film producer to handle.
Yeah, that’s the ticket.
*snicker*
You're saying that their contract with the network could keep them from profiting from their own business. I highly doubt it.
The Robertsons would never have signed such a contract, and it's doubtful that any television network would have crafted such a thing.
Don’t you just love “executive defenestration”!
Francois Fenelon (He was a Christian who was insulted and exiled for his beliefs)
Do not get angry about what people say. Let them talk while you try to do Gods will. As to the will of other people, you could never come to the end of satisfying it, not is it worth the trouble. Silence, peace and union with God ought to comfort you whatever people may falsely say. You must be friendly to them without counting on their friendship. They come and go. Let them, go...they are like chaff scattered by the wind.
In other times I would embrace this sentiment. However, I now can foresee The Bible or parts of it forbidden by law and ministers prohibited from teaching it on the grounds that it comprises hate speech. Christians need to refuse to bow before those that would ban proclaiming The Word.
"I have left off stations in California and the Northeast."
About time conservatives and Christians quit wasting time on lost causes...put your efforts into areas where you have more influence.
Hey Phil....we love you!!!!!!

LOLs! Same thing happened twice before, when Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson drugged themselves to death! The threads went on for miles...
On the plus side, four memorable live threads that ran into the thousands were 1) when patriots flooded Bush's Texas ranch to defend against a 200-person demonstration by Cindy Sheehan; 2) when freepers ran Code Pink off the gates of Walter Reed, 3) when Gathering of Eagles stormed DC with 30,000 patriots to protect the Memorials during an anti-war march that drew 10,000 of Soros-funded supporters bused in, and 4) the first huge, huge million-plus Tea Party rally in DC in 2009.
Did the Support Phil Robertson FB page just disappear??
Never mind....must’ve been my computer.

January 1, 2014, before a world-wide audience, the Tournament of Roses Parade will do its part. Folks might want to keep their kids away from the T.V. that day, unless they want to have some explaining to do. It would be nice if everyone criticizing Phil worked as hard at protecting and being as concerned about innocent young hearts and minds that will be exposed to this depravity, as they are at promoting Sodom.
The Macy’s parade was bad enough.
No...still there. 503k likes now
Sure was. We had to turn the channel.
“defenestration” is from the Latin ‘fenestra’ “window”.
These days, most of the time the expression is “throwing someone under the bus.” Since there were no buses in ancient Rome, a good substitution would be ‘currus’ “chariot”, and “under the chariot” would be ‘in curru’.
So, throwing someone under the bus would be “incurrustration”, a modern word for the Latin “coniectis in sinum currus.”
