A group of 10 black youths — one of them a 12-year-old girl — surrounded a white couple's car in Brooklyn, viciously beating the husband and yanking the wife to the pavement by her hair as they peppered the two with racial slurs, authorities said.
“Get those crackers!” some of them screamed, according to court papers. “Get that white whore!”
The confrontation erupted about 7 p.m. Monday, as the marauding group crossed Avenue U at E. 58th St. near Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Mill Basin.
Ronald Russo, 30, and his wife, Alanna, apparently had the green light and the husband honked at the group to get out of the way. The rowdy kids started kicking the car, according to the criminal complaint. Ronald Russo got out to check on potential damage to his vehicle.
And that’s when all hell broke loose.

Ronald Russo was dragged to the ground. Then he was punched and kicked in the head. He felt more blows all over his body, investigators said. He suffered a fractured nose, a broken septum, a blood clot and abrasions to his shoulder. He was treated and released from Beth Israel Medical Center.
In the midst of the attack, there was a steady chorus of epithets. “White motherf-----!” screamed the attackers, who ranged in age from 12 to 18.

there needs to be a clear definition. if you’re in your car and someone is bashing your windows to get at you and your passengers, it’s at least a carjacking. driving forward, and potentially over the attackers, should (if it’s not already) be well within your rights of self defense
There is no way I'd get out of my car if it was surrounded by a gang of yutes. I carry a gun, but I think a machine gun would be necessary when confronted with a feral gang. Best to stay out of da hood altogether.

Let me guess, they are also indignant because Zimmerman did not get convicted of 1st degree murder and that drove them to do this and we cannot indict them on any charges and we need to give them reparations for any injuries they received while colliding with the crackas’ car? And they need to get full rides to any college of their choosing even if they have 0.0 gpas and a gov’t guaranteed job when they graduate? Did I get it right?
One word, Vigilante, those that want their streets back should form a self policing group that will stop this crap. Then you will see the media.

Notice how they are always called “youths”, as if being of a certain age excuses brutality?
I'm not so sure about the drive over them part, but your advice is basically very sound. If you find yourself in a mob situation, you must get moving and keep moving.
That's the main reason I ALWAYS keep a car length open in front of me when I stop at red lights. If I gotta pull suddenly, I'll need that space.
I don’t think this is going to magically stop when Obama gets out of office. As anyone who went to school with a lot of blacks, as I did, knows, blacks have always done things like this. It’s not just because there’s a black president! I hate Obama as much as anyone, but we can’t pin all the blame for this on him. It’s way past time to realize that there’s a war on whites, a war that we are NOT fighting back. If we care anything about what kind of country we leave for our children and grandchildren, that has to change, NOW.

This kind of stuff does not happen very often in Texas. It is just not a good idea no matter what color someone might be. In Texas we see things in shades of grey anyway. Grey is one of our primary colors along with other colors as indicated above.
