Mogadishu: The leader of the Somali Islamist militant group al Shabaab has warned that Kenya will be hit with more deadly attacks like the Nairobi mall massacre if it does not withdraw its troops from southern Somalia.
In an audio message posted on Somalimemo.net, Mukhtar Abu Zubeyr, known as Godane, said Saturday’s attack on the upscale Westgate mall was an act of revenge by Al Shabaab for the Kenyan army’s incursion into southern Somalia to eliminate Islamist extremists.

At least 72 people – including 61 civilians – were killed in the attack, which began Saturday and ended Tuesday after a four-day standoff.”

There was no reason why the Kenyan police and military couldn’t have gone into the mall within hours instead of waiting days. They knew what was happening in there, yet they sat on their butts picking lint from their belly buttons for three days. Having to call in help from another country is beyond reprehensible. It’s a contained mall, not a city or countrywide attack. If Kenya can’t secure one building on their own, then that’s an announcement to the entire planet they are useless. Tie the keys up in a pretty pink bow and hand them over to the bad guys.
When did they let the White Widow slip out? First reports were she was inside, then the cops killed her, then she was safely out, then she was in London and just yesterday she was targeting embassies. How many more terrorists did they secret out?
