The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) admitted on May 10 that low level staff in its Cincinnati office, supposedly not motivated by political bias, targeted 75 conservative tax-exempt organizations, including many Tea Party organizations applying for exemption under Section 501(c)4 of the tax code. The groups were singled out for audit and investigation because they used the names Tea Party and Patriot. Yet in July 2011, the IRS had warned employees to drop audits of donors to similar 501(c)4 organizations.

Low Level = Affirmative action Employees?
Obama voters in the IRS?
Holder’s people.
This is incredible. I hope they terminate anyone who participated in this. Low level???? HA!
Acorn plants... they haven’t gone away.
Absolutely impossible for low level folks to do this without a command from the top.
“To [proudly and unapologetically] keep Obama in President”
I want those employees subpoenaed by Congress, and before they testify, make it very clear what will happen if they lie.
I don’t believe they did it on their own. If they insist they did, fire them.
Its a hate crime , a violation of the Civil Rights Act. The IRS also was instructed to BOTL for Jewish Organizations as well. based on race.
A special prosecutor needs to be appointed.
Democrats tend to gravitate towards government jobs because of their ideology.
They also love the idea of not being accountable and being promoted based on their ideology.
“How stupid do they think we are??”
Extremely.
“Absolutely impossible for low level folks to do this without a command from the top.”
True.
Low level IRS employee:
GS 12 and beow...
not motivated by political bias.
Right. I’m waiting for the revelation of all the commie groups they targeted.
This sounds like the question leading up to Nicholson’s famouse speech in “a few good men”....tell me Colonel, If you gave an order that Santiago wasn’t to be touched, and your orders are always followed, then why would he be indanger, why would it be necessary to transfer him off the base?
On in this case, why would the IRS issue orders to not target certain 501’s and then have some low level guys do what they wanted to do?
In general the employees are GS12 and above (equivalent ~ since USPS has its own paygrade structure).
These are not folks at the bottom of the federal heap ~ probably have college degrees, several years experience, can read and write well, audit your returns ~ that'd be part of their experience package, and could likely run a business.
What they are not is APPOINTEES. What I'd like to know is what sort of 'low level' the big dogs in DC are referring to. Do they mean, perhaps, the Regional Director? Now he'd be an appointee, but low level only in reference to the guys in DC.
Fur Shur he or she was not a clerk typist, or file clerk, or custodian!
I hate to admit it but the Benghazi hearings aren’t going to amount to much. But this crap at the IRS, on the other hand, could be enough to really make the administration squirm.
My aunt and uncle (God rest their souls) were IRS and Postal employees, respectively, and they were staunch democrats. They had a kind of pride of being on the right side of humanity, that the forces they worked for was the power to right societal wrongs. They had this kind of pride, just like you see democrats in DC today, their’s is the righteous power to mold and make the little people behave as they think best. Obama is using the IRS to lord it over the rest of us... make no mistake, his acorn people will be driving the IRS bulldozer by next year... Obamacare will plough America under.
Is it any wonder that Nuland and Kennedy, career employees in the State Department, defended the WH and Hillary? We may have reached the point where career employees are decidedly partisan and will use the power of government to further political interests.
I have no doubt that the political appointees set the tone, but I doubt the career employees had to be forced to do their bidding. Something is changing. I say that as someone who worked for the federal government for 36 years.

Nope: It was not a spontaneous outpouring against conservatism at the G12 level:
“The investigation also revealed that a high-ranking IRS official knew as early as mid-2011 that conservative groups were being inappropriately targetednearly a year before then-IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman told a congressional committee the agency wasn’t targeting conservative groups.”

The indications are that the WHite House insisted on BOTL ( be on the outlook) guidelines as required by the Obama Campaign and its fascist administration.
This BOTL was also done against Jewish Groups, clearly a Hate Crime Violation of the Civil Rights Act.
Special Prosecutor Needed. I vote for Tom DeLay.
