Its no secret that a lot of people do not prepare for the worst. Whether its an economic collapse, a natural disaster, man-made disaster or any other kind of an emergency, it seems most households are not properly equipped to handle a crisis. This was apparent with recent events like Hurricane Sandy and the severe weather disasters in the Midwest and south in the middle of last year.

Good idea. I have a whole library of Ham Radio Magazines (at one time I got 4 publishers), NRA’s mags and a good personal library.
You can read print without power. But we also have a couple of AC generators. One big enough to run a house.

Kerosene with laundry detergent makes better cocktails, so I’m told.
I don’t know about such “terrorist” things, but I know I wouldn’t be tempted to drink that cocktail.
That ‘cocktail’ comes from WWII. The Brits fabricated it as an aid to the ‘resistence’ in Nazi occupied Europe.

I do have magazines and a lot of paperbooks just for that very reason. When you can’t access Kindle, paper and ink will still be available.
