“No mention of Guns & Ammo?”

#16, in the article they do mention firearms...but only as one of many items needed.

Ammo. most people under estimate the barter power of certain calibers, like the .22lr.
I have seen Craigslist ads of many many such barter offers, people willing to trade bikes, snowmachines and tools for just ammo.

I agree...weak - considering that anyone who has a gun will have it loaded and within arms reach, 24/7 in one of these messes.

They say this: “Self-defense tools (firearms, knives, etc.) – when a disaster strikes, you could be a target because you have everything you need to survive”

Milk, bread and toilet paper. That’s what sells out first here in Maryland when there is a storm on the way.

I have all of that except I use a solar panel with attached charger and rechargeable batteries for power. That gives me light, fans, and working portable TV plus way to charge cell phone and Kindle if I want to read a book.

I think Marco calls that suicide by prepper. Someone that's invested a lot of money and effort into attaining a certain situation has probably thought about how he/she will keep the random gimmidats out of it.

Milk, bread and toilet paper.

That's a pretty harsh french toast, even on my scale.
