Jihad has blown up The Liberal Utopia.
The visionary liberal land of political and social perfection.
President Obama is not happy — and he isn’t alone.
You know the place.
• The Liberal Utopia is a land where gun background checks prevent mass murder.
• The Liberal Utopia is a land where Islamic fundamentalists have changed their perception of America because the President travels to Muslim nations to give lovely speeches, believes that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and elsewhere is a wonderful sign of an Arab Spring, and refuses to use the word “terrorist” whether his administration is investigating Ft. Hood, Boston, or Benghazi.
• The Liberal Utopia is a land where a 2009 presidential video proclaiming a “new beginning” in American relations with Iran will halt the effort to build a nuclear bomb.
• The Liberal Utopia is a land where the good intentions of Social Security will never bankrupt the Social Security Trust Fund.
• The Liberal Utopia is a land where the good intentions of Medicare could not possibility result in trillions of unfunded liability.
• The Liberal Utopia is a land where the War on Poverty was supposed to end poverty — and instead winds up sending violent crime skyrocketing, and, in the words of Thomas Sowell, setting up the American black family for rapid disintegration in the liberal welfare state “that subsidized unwed pregnancy and changed welfare from an emergency rescue to a way of life.”
One could go on …and on and on….spotting those will-o-the-wisp glimpses of The Liberal Utopia (Obamacare here, the Obama stimulus over there, the promise to close Guantanamo way back there) with example after example of this miserably failed attempt to find or create a Liberal Utopia.

missed one: the lib utopia is a state of mind. Libs believe, at this very moment, that things are going their way and all is fairly well. A true mental disorder. The worse things get, the more the libs will retreat into their utopia.

Liberal utopia is still alive and well and tone-deaf. Yesterday there was a Memorial Service at Boston University for the Chinese student killed by the Muslim bombers. NPR sent a woman named Asma Khalid to cover it. I am surprised they did not send her on this assignment with a pressure cooker. On other sites, the liberal Boston sheep were praising the armed thugs who broke into their homes. herded the sheep outside and searched their homes without a warrant. They said the armed intrusions made them safer. When posters pointed out that suspect No. 2 wasn’t nabbed until the “lockdown” ended, and the fat doughnut boys went back to their liars, they simply ignored the observation and cheered for their jailers.
The real pi$$er for the libs is that it happened in the holy city of Boston.

I have come to call it Neo Europa...... all from New York, north and east. The area must be purged to save America. When Neo Europa is purged, America can thrive.

Gun control is a classic example of this: Wash DC, for many years running the murder capital of the USA, had until recently a total prohibition on guns. A rational person would think well they can't go any further, but no. DC's politicians blamed Virginia's lack of total prohibition for DC's murders, ignoring the evidence that Alexandria, rignt opposite DC, had 1/8th the murder rate of DC. And the liberal media - otherwise known as the fourth branch of government - never questions this illogic.
I guess War and Peace is not on your reading list.
It’s too close to their base assumptions on which their ideology is built.
If they admit they’re wrong on this, its an admission that the whole way they view the world is wrong.
One of the “casualties” of losing this worldview is losing the assumption of “I’m a good person”.
Someone’s post the other day made the connection for me.
Laws can’t prevent crime any more than the Old Testament Law
could make people righteous.
