President Barack Obama has chosen Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts to be the next secretary of state, a source has told Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed.
His replacement as head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee will be Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, the Sneed source said.

Well, Obama did need someone he could count on to lie out his butt, so Kerry is a perfect pick.

I've been thinking about this as well. The thought that has occurred to me is to start/join some conservative business alliance in which the members make a serious commitment to provide mutual support. This community would become a "virtual nation" that is independent of physical location, and with members distributed across the world it would become much easier to migrate to hospitable environments.
I guess conservatives would almost become like the Jews were before the founding of Israel.

Hey, he speaks French don’t you know. I think he will do OK. A coward in combat perhaps—and a liberal hippie to boot, but, I think he might have the balls to stand up when things get bad. Would rather see Bolton have the Job but then Mitt lost. Hillary picked the guy and its one less Senator for the Democrats!
Thank God he isn’t heading the Defense Department.
Conflict-averse to the end, Barry is going the Senatorial Courtesy route to avoid bruising confirmation battles (Kerry, Chuck Hagel, etc.)
Members of The Club can be expected to rubber-stamp those without putting up a fuss. Heck he’d probably nominate Robert C. Byrd to the Cabinet if he could. (not certain where he is right now, but he doesn’t smell too good, that’s for sure)

The Democrats will succeed in replacing Kerry with another leftist Democrat, so it, really, doesn’t matter when the special election happens. RINO Scott Brown will, probably, run for this seat, but Scott Brown will end up losing badly. The Democratic machine of Massachusetts won’t let Scott Brown win, again.
This will give us plenty of opportunities to “Caption This.”
