Was the attack on Benghazi an "October Surprise" gone bad?

Folks, is it possible that the gruesome murder of our Ambassador in Benghazi was acutally the beginnings of an October surprize gone horribly awry?

I believe that somehow, because of all the unanswered questions there...because of the unbelievably chaotic and rushed manner in which the Obama administration tried to cover it up...and continued to cover it up well past all rational thinking would indicate that they were doing ss...and because of just common sense questions, questions like:

1. Why were new security requests for Benghazi denied after two recent attacks, one by an IED in June that left a 40ft whole in the wall?
2. Why were the security teams they had in Benghazi removed in August, just a few weeks before the attack?
3. Why was a U.S. Ambassador who had indicated he feared for his life and was seeking more security, sent to Benghazi, the hotbed for anti-Americanism, on the 11th Anniversyary of 911 (and the 11th anniversary of any event in Islam is considered "Holy") with no US security team?
4. Why did 12 command centerss watch the attack on Benghazi unfold for SIX HOURS and not mount a relief attempt from Tripoli with helos, or from potential US NAvy vessels in the Med? A helo traveling at 150 MPH can go a good distance in 6 hours, so can an F-18 traveling at Mach 1.
5. Finally, what was the relationship of Ambassador Stevens to the Gitmo releasess and groups he was heading during the Libyan revolution when Stevens was the US envoy working with these groups? Was Stevens secretly sent there to meet with those groups? Was the whole thing a setup?

Could it be (either through Libyan government sources, or even our own) that the terrorists knew that the security had been taken away in Benghazi? I believe they hoped to kidnap the Ambassador in an easy smash and grab operation against an essentially undefended compound and then try and negotiate a trade; Stevens for the blind shiek.

Tragically, there very well could have been people in our own government who knew about all of this.

Could it be that an "October Surprize" is what was really "supposed" to happen in Benghazi after the kidnapping. We would have seen an outraged Obama, stoked up and rightously indignant over this, on National TV claiming it would not be tolerated and that we would secure the release of Stevens. He would maybe even have "suspended his campaign to deal with it...for all Americans to see.

Then October would have been full of "that" story, and you can bet it would invariably lead to a Stevens release just before the election.

But because a couple of US Navy SEALS happened to be there contracted out on another unrelated State Department matter, and because a couple of other personnel (possibly CIA personnel) put up one hell of a fight against overwhelming odds...holding them off for 6 hours...that the terrorist plan (and potentially the entire "surprize") went bad.

The attackers got mad when many of their own were killed and wounded and they ended up killing Stevens and the SEALS and the other fellow that got seperated from the main group (who escaped...and whom alll should be carefully questioned regarding what they saw and heard) when they caught them.

Thus what was supposed to be a great “moment” for Obama in an arranged “tough” negotiation to “save” Ambassador Stevens (who himself would have had no clue about any of this and would never have gone along with it), turned into a gruesome murder instead.

Precisely because this was so horrible for America. Precisely because these questions remain unanswered. Presicely because 12 operations centers saw this in real time and no help was attempted. Presicely because of the umitigated lies, deceptions, and now cover-up of this administration. This entire affair should actually be absolutely front page news in the whole country until it is resolved, campaigns or not.

We have American blood on the ground and we potentially have those amongst us who at the very least are covering it up for political purposes because it does not fit their narrative...or who, at the worst may have helped to arrange it in an effort to create a new political narrative just before the election.

And by the way... I’m groovin’ on the fact whether I’m right and the root cause is sheer stupidity... or YOU’RE right and it’s something sinister... either way this situation is a BIG lose-lose for Obama. At a *very* (shall we say) awkward time in his life. :-)

I've noticed the folks on Fox keep saying things like there is more to the story we haven't found out, etc. I'm wondering if they plan on breaking this story when they get all the facts.

Have you watched the video of the CNN interview with Mohammed Al Zawahiri, the brother of the Zawahiri, who was the Al Qaeda leader? The video did not air in the US, only in Canada. It’s supposed to be a peace proposal, but it is just a series of demands, the same demands that were issued by Osama Bin Laden, prior to the first 9/11 attacks.

My guess is that Obama was going to allow Stephens to be captured and then trade him for All the Islamic prisoners, as in the demands and capitulate to all the other demands, as well. Then Obama was going to claim that he had single handedly brought peace to the Middle East.

Anyone who believed such a plan could be set up and executed without anything “going wrong” had to be insane. Look at who would have to be trusted to do the kidnapping and the later release...what kind of people!

What would stop people like that from keeping the ambassador, not releasing him? Answer, nothing.

OR deliberately killing him AFTER pretending to go along with a kidnapping/release scheme? Answer, nothing.

And who would the person be who was trying to orchestrate all of this for Obama??

Would they have been working personally for Obama’s re-election, under the radar, OR, would they have had an official job with the American gov’t while pursuing this scheme for Obama on the side?

Just some questions that came to me when I tried to “imagine out” the scenario.

But they would have to be INSANE, whoever they were, to believe they could pull off such a plan, that they actually could’ve had control of events, when dealing with the people they would’ve had to deal with, to carry out the kidnapping and release.

The only thing I can think of, aside from that, is if a dummy operation were planned. That is, America, or Obama personally, had people who would pretend to be the kidnappers but could be counted on not to harm Stevens and to release him later.

But the dummy operation - if there was one - had to have ended up being CRASHED by real kidnappers or deliberate killers (depending on your POV).

I would put nothing past this administration. Nothing at all. They are desperate and have been for sometime now. I would love to see their internal polling data. Bob Beckel said they were finished. Obama knows this as does his ilk.

The US Consulate is located in the southern part of Benghazi, not far from the ocean. There are numerous routes of egress therefrom. Many options. None were taken. 6 hours is a long time. Fast movers could easily have been scrambled in such time. None were.

When early reports claimed the attackers were employing mortars, I knew then this was not a spontaneous demonstration gone bad. Rather, a planned, coordinated military type attack. Civilians make poor cannon-cockers.

Obi and company clearly dropped the ball on this one. Now doing damage control until post-election. With their ownership of the media, they may succeed...

The murder of Ambassador Stevens at Benghazi is Obama’s October surprise gone bad thanks to two former SEALS who were not supposed to be at Benghazi. But then I ran to the end of the story so let’s back fill the datapoints.

First President Morsi first public statement to us was that he wanted the blind iman who first bombed the WTC released. Now Obama forever dedicated to appeasing the muslim world, bowing to them comes natural to him, knew that he had to obey Morsi’s request however he couldn’t release Omar Abdul-Rahman. There had to be a reason powerful enough to warrant his release. What better than to return to the Carter era of American hostages?

Obama sees a way to release the iman and secure his reelection in one act. So the wheels are set in motion. So he needed a cover story. Oh, the You Tube video that no one has seen, released in July. America could be shamed into releasing the iman because someone posted an obscure video and we have to follow Obama’s lead and bow to muslims.

Next weaken the security at Benghazi by removing the security teams and employing Libyan bodyguards for the ambassador. In effect the embassy could not defend itself. The back channel had to be from the WH to the iman’s legal representatives. It was suggested that Obama needed a reason to release the iman that America could agree to. What better than hostages? They were informed that there were no security forces at Benghazi to defend Stevens so over run the embassy and take him hostage. Really easy.

What was not planned for were former SEALS Donerty and Woods. They were not part of Stevens security detail; they happened to be in Benghazi working for the CIA to located missing surface-to-air missiles.

So the terrorists plan the assault on the embassy thinking there would be no resistance. Well two SEALS never back down from defending America and Americans. These two heros gave their lives fighting to protect our embassy and our ambassador. No telling how many peaceful muslim they transported to the after life however the terrorists who thought this was just a walk in the park protect now sought out the Americans to kill them not hold them captive. The over throw went from hostage taking to killing.

Now the WH knew the plan had blown up. There were no hostages only dead Americans. How to cover? Roll out the 14 minute video, no one has seen, as the cause. The WH cover up was in play.

With the killing of Ambassador Stevens, there could be no exchange, no October surprise. Oh what was the October surprise? Well Obama would spend a month negotiating with the terrorists for the release of Ambassador Stevens and finally and after his focused efforts on saving Stevens’ live, Stevens would be released just before the election. Obama would have sucked out all the energy from the campaign as everyone would be watching him, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, negotiate for the release of Stevens. The world would applaud him, the muslim would have their murderous iman back, he would be reelected and the destruction of America who go on.

We can only thank every day these SEALS for defending America with their lives.

If that is true then the ambassador's death was horrific and painful, not to mention a nightmare for this administration.

If what I've read is correct, then his and their deaths would not bear discussion with a polite woman.

Of course, that's swimming against the stream of "police procedural" material that has flooded television for the last 12 years, that used to be confined, even by yellow-journal editors, to the police blotter and raw detective files.
