Stand With Arizona
Florida has drawn a line in the sand which must be adopted by every state against an Attorney General and administration which is increasingly abusing and distorting the law to stop efforts to keep illegal voters away from the polls this November.
The Department of Justice this week demanded that Florida immediately cease its current massive purge of non-citizens and dead persons from its voter rolls, absurdly citing the outdated and outmoded Voting Rights Act of 1965. Well, now Florida has refused, saying it will not give up its efforts to make sure only legal citizens can vote.
The Gist
Two weeks ago, Florida found 53,000 dead people registered to vote, and removed them from the rolls. In addition, Florida has discovered a staggering 186,000 potential non-citizens who are registered to vote may have voted, and worked furiously to investigate, remove them, and prosecute those who have voted.
So far, Florida's Secretary of State Ken Detzner has identified 2,700 of these non-citizens, and forwarded them to the counties in which the reside. Hispanics account for 58 percent of those flagged as potential noncitizens, a Miami Herald analysis found, and most of those exposed appear to be illegal aliens.
And, despite what critics of voter ID laws always say - that voter fraud is not an issue - the numbers of voters amongst non-citizens exposed is quite alarming: Of the more than 1,600 non-citizens in Miami-Dade, about 65 percent have cast ballots. About 72 percent have cast ballots of the 262 identified in Broward.
Florida officials even requested data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to help them determine which potential voters were non-citizens.
The Battle
So, of course the "Department of Justice" sprung into action to make sure that the sacrosanct right to vote was not being corrupted by thousands of ineligible voters.....right?
Not on your life. The race-obsessed Department of "Just Us" did what it has always done since January 20, 2009: stop any and all efforts to keep illegal voters from the polls. So the same Obama DOJ, which has already, unlawfully, blocked Voter ID laws in Texas and South Carolina, and attempted (unsuccessfully) to stop an effort to keep illegal aliens from voting in Arizona.
So of course if there are illegal aliens and dead people - nearly all "minorities" and Democrats - voting, the DOJ will make sure they keep on doing exactly that. In a letter issued late Thursday, T. Christian Herren Jr., who leads the Justice Department voting section, demanded that Florida immediately put a stop to the purge, telling Detzner that the state's plan to review the status of the 2,600 suspected non-citizens and purge them if the voters fail to prove citizenship appears to violate the infamous "Section 5 " of the 1965 Voting Rights Act (which still allows the DOJ to obstruct electoral activities of states which had race issues 50 years ago!) and the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (the infamous vote fraud magnet also known as "Motor Voter").
Florida's response? No way...
“We have an obligation to make sure the voter rolls are accurate and we are going to continue forward and do everything that we can legally do to make sure that ineligible voters cannot vote,” said Chris Cate, a spokesman for Detzner. “We are firmly committed to doing the right thing and preventing ineligible voters from being able to cast a ballot. We are not going to give up our efforts to make sure the voter rolls are accurate."Now the battle really begins. Democrat-controlled counties are saying they will obey the DOJ and cease their part in the purge. But that won't last long, as Florida law gives the Secretary of State the final say on these matters. And the law is on Florida's side, as the statutes allowing the purge have already been pre-cleared. And, as PJ Tatler said, "if Section 5 allows the Attorney General to stop states from ensuring that citizens of foreign countries don’t vote for President, I doubt Holder will find much support on the Supreme Court."
So kudos to Gov. Rick Scott, SoS Detzner and the state of Florida for taking the Washington corruptocrats head-on, as Arizona did (and won). Now it's time for Texas, South Carolina and other states to do the same. Say NO to embattled A.G. Holder and this Administration's disgraceful attempt to undermine the rule of law and enable massive voter fraud.

I have actually seen liberals argue that illegal aliens should vote because they have a “stake” in (will be affected by) the outcome of elections.

I tried that. It was a dismal failure of organizing by the GOP. I went to the two meetings and waited for days to get my credentials etc., which never showed up.
Weeks later they sent emails of apology to hundreds who had signed up to be poll watchers. It was an epic failure here.

I’m writing to both explain and apologize for the problems and failures which occurred during the election.
I first arrived in Cleveland on October 20th, as a New York volunteer for the Republican Party. Including election day I spent 10 days working to recruit Poll Observers and during that time spoke to many of you, asking for help defending the polls from illegal voting. Many of you agreed and following that agreement never received either an assignment, credentials that had been promised, or both. Many of you waited anxiously on November 3rd for credentials and assignments.
The details of multiple communications failures are a long tail of miss-steps that included spam filters, lack of training, multiple qualifying procedures, overtaxed volunteers and lack of co-ordination with workers in Columbus headquarters. Only after the fact did I realize that there were only a few polling stations that we could place observers in that were not in the heart of Cleveland, the most challenging areas of town. Columbus was making an effort to further qualify people for these difficult assignments after I had already spoken to many of you. They then excluded many because they couldn’t contact you in time. If they didn’t recontact you then you were never assigned. Even if some of you were contacted concerning a location the time was so short and the staff in Columbus so taxed for the time available that some were left hanging with a location, no credentials, but plenty of anxiety.
This is the short answer to what went on and why I am writing to apologize for the failures prior to the election. Hopefully things will run more smoothly in the future.

And that’s just ACCIDENTAL consequences of letting anybody and everybody come in through our soft underbelly. We know that the drug cartels and Hezbollah are working together to get terrorists into our country, and the Muslim Brotherhood and New Black Panthers are allies as well. All of them buddies of Eric Holder - “his people” who he will never investigate and/or prosecute.
So not only do we face the risk of some person unintentionally bringing polio or TB back to America - we’re also looking at the possibility of Hamas or Hezbollah operatives coming in with biological weapons of mass destruction that they were given by Ahmadinejad before being flown on an unchecked direct flight to Venezuela, with orders to march into America and get the germ warfare capabilities to sleeper cells in every city in America, in preparation for the activation signal from the communist-Islamist alliance (headed by George Soros).
HUGE national security risk, and the Obama Administration is actually using unconstitutional measures to make sure this threat continues.
But hey, just when Obama needed to distract the country from hearing that the BC he had just presented was actually a forgery, the military was able to get Obama’s begrudging approval - with waffle room so he could blame the heroes if the mission failed - to kill Al Qaeda’s figurehead leader, whose whereabouts had been known for at least 18 months. So Obama MUST be a hero in national security. We’ll overlook the self-congratulatory leaks which compromised our special ops teams and their missions, and the fact that shortly after that assassination the SEALS team which should not have been all in one place at one time was all killed at once by terrorists in Afghanistan who somehow knew where those SEALS all were. And we’ll ignore the trouble that Pakistan is giving the doctor who disclosed Bin Laden’s location to us. We’ll also ignore that Obama has been negotiating with the Taliban, with the theory that if they are given their own country to rape and terrorize, they will not bother to rape and terrorize ours (Obama is doing a fine enough job of that by himself anyway).
The beheadings (of infidels and the wrongly-accused) that inspired the drug cartels on our southern border - the drug cartels that Eric Holder is ARMING with untrackable guns - will continue in Afghanistan under the Taliban, in accordance with Obama’s official policy on terrorism (to enable and abet it wherever he can get regimes like the Muslim Brotherhood, Salafists, Taliban, etc installed).
What the Stand With Arizona article doesn’t mention is that a 91 year old WWII vet was declared not eligible to vote. They said he is not a citizen. Eligible voters are being caught up in this purge.

Another FR thread mentioned that the Florida county Supervisors of Election were NOT going to continue cleaning up their Voter Rolls! The article was misleading as the title sated “purge would continue”.
I hope ALL Florida Freepers and US Citizens who read this post will contact the 67 County Supervisors of Election and tell them we EXPECT them to follow our Florida Laws (See FL House Bill 1355 which became law in 2011) and make sure EACH FL County Voter Rolls contain ONLY living American citizens who's legal residence is Florida!

While Florida's state officials continue to champion the plan, its 67 county election supervisors said Friday they will discontinue the effort to purge voters.
Vicki Davis, a Martin County elections supervisor who is also president of the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections, told the Palm Beach Post they believe the state data is flawed and that they intend to heed the Justice Department's warning. “There are just too many variables with this entire process at this time for supervisors to continue,” Davis said.

That depends; it could be done; given things like Fast & Furious, Gernadewalker, Castaway[?] there is plenty of evidence that would justify investigation (and issuing a warrant) by the states for Treason (as defined in those States's Constitution) -- then, for all Senators that did not vote for impeachment, issue warrants for conspiracy for treason, as they are aiding the very people named in their [original] investigation.
IOW, making States openly hostile to various Senators would make things interesting quickly.
equal protection includes equal protection of those LEGALLY voting.
Holder is selectivly enforcing the equal protection clause.
Treason is a federal crime. There won't be a Treason reference in any state constitution as the states have no jurisdiction.
