Gun Makers Up in Arms Over Proposed U.N. Treaty (UN gun grab ALERT!)
Fox News ^ | August 5, 2011 | Maxim Lott

A controversial U.N. proposed treaty aimed at regulating guns worldwide has been shrouded by confusion and misinformation.

Known informally as the 'Small Arms Treaty,' its detractors have charged the proposed agreement with secretly trying to take guns out of the hands of Americans and circumventing the 2nd Amendment.

While that is unlikely, a working draft proposal obtained by FoxNews.com contains language that some gun advocates say could have a real impact on American gun makers.

Last month a U.N. committee met in New York and signed off on several provisions, including the creation of a new U.N. agency to regulate international weapon sales, and require countries that host firearms manufacturers to set up a compensation fund for victims of gun violence worldwide.

Tom Mason, who represented the World Forum on the Future of Sports Shooting at the U.N. conference, told FoxNews.com the provisions are worrying.

“No, there are no black helicopters. There is no secret treaty that Hillary Clinton has signed,” Mason said. “But on the other hand, the treaty is a significant threat to gun owners. I think the biggest threat may be the body that would administer the treaty,” he added, referring to a new U.N agency the treaty would create, to be called the “Implementation Support Unit.”

Under the latest draft of the treaty, every country would be required to submit a report to the ISU outlining “all activities undertaken in order to accomplish the implementation of this Treaty, including… domestic laws, regulations and administrative measures.”

It also requires countries to set up their own government agencies to track any guns that could be exported. “Parties shall take all necessary measures to control brokering activities taking place within its territories … to prevent the diversion of exported arms into the illicit market……….

" The vague wording leaves room for interpretation, and a U.N. representative for a major U.S. gun manufacturer who spoke to FoxNews.com on the condition of anonymity told FoxNews.com that he believed it left room for the ISU to declare the registration of all American-made guns to prevent illegal exportation."

Who elected the United Nations to govern how guns are bought and sold....each country has its own laws about that....Holder not excluded.

Interesting.... Did they note that 95% of the explosives, rockets, mines and guns used internationally to kill civilians are AK-47’s, or soviet-built and soviet/communist supplied?

But here - of course - the UN wants to regulate (and establish international control with yet another agency! - US arms. US civilian weapons.

Did you notice that a US arms maker need an company-paid employee to watch the UN just so they can stay in business?

This treaty will never be ratified by 2/3rds of the Senate. Its irritating and even infuriating but it will not ever go into effect.

Satan elected the U.N. The Bible makes it clear that there will be a world government/world religion as a lead up to the end times. I believe the U.N. is poised to be a major player. Common sense would dictate that the U.N. be relegated to the dust bin of obscurity by now, yet they continue with the plan and we submit despite many of the heads of committees being absolute despisers of America - kind of like the Democratic Party...

We're a sovereign nation. The U.N. has no place telling us what rights we have or don't have.
In fact, a law that demands all Americans be armed would be more practical. The 2nd amendment was designed to protect us from vulnerabilities or threats like this from a run away government - especially from foreign, anti-U.S. run away governments who's only goal is to weaken us.

Speak to or convict Oboma, but leave us innocent Americans alone. Except for Obomas arms deals, we're doing just fine on our own.

Good luck getting it through congress.

Although we should not put it past "President Downgrade" to make it an executive order.

Let's try this on for size... No.

We will not comply. Not even if the President and Congress sign off on it. Maybe especially not even then.

These are our RIGHTS. Anyone trying to take them from us is automatically our declared ENEMY and should be treated like any other combatant.

They may not be the ones out shoving guns in people faces, but they are every bit as culpable as if their finger was on the trigger when they are the ones giving the orders to their stormtroopers.

If he tries it via EO, it will rise to the level of a “high crime”. Violation of oath of office, treason, and deprivation of civil rights under color of law.

Even the fracking RINOS think this is garbage as well a couple of dems. At best they have about 50 senators who think this is any kind of good.

"Satan elected the U.N."

Romans 13:1-7 says the exact opposite. You might want to ask the "King of Kings" (Rev 19:16) about who governs the affairs of men. (see also Proverbs 8:15-16; Jeremiah 27:5-8; Daniel 2:21; Rev 1:5)

. The Bible makes it clear that there will be a world government/world religion as a lead up to the end times.

In reality, a world government is only spoken of in one place - Babel (Genesis 11), and God in His eternal Sovereign Power declared that there will never again be a one world government and to enforce that we have the plethora of languages and irreconcilable diversity differences today. One would have to be a lunatic to believe otherwise.

Lets take a look at the obvious contradiction that you speak of. The classic "one world government" claims that the Futurists dream up come from bastardizing Revelations 13 embodying a "one world government" in the form of "all the world marveled and worshiped the Beast"".(v3) Except for the "many saints" (v7). Wait a minute, according to your cabal's theories, all the saints should be attending the wedding feast in Heaven!

No problem, just destroy the Bible's teachings on salvation so that people can come to faith without hearing the Gospel (Ro 10:17; Gal 3:2) and without the Spirit that gives life (Jn 6:63) and without understanding the Gospel (1 Cor 2:14). Since all of those who are saved will already by in Heaven at the Feast, and wouldn't the Bridegroom be attending His own wedding? And if saints can come to Christ during this Tribulation are you then denying the Parable of the Ten Virgins and calling Christ a liar?

"Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'" (Matt 25:11-12)

Of course you are.

Now how does this beast arise from the sea? Well, its claimed that the "seven heads and ten horns" represent nations. OK, fine. That is for the Beast from the Sea, but v11 talks about a second beast from the Earth who arises from "two horns". Two horns is more than One horn, as in - where did these nations/horns come from? Wasn't there a one world government? Two Beasts but One Government?

In v7 the Beast from the Sea is given the "authority" over all the "nations". So you cry "there is the one world government!" Except you folks read Revelation in chronological order and after chapter 13 you have chapter 14 and in vv 6 and 7 you still have language speaking of there being many "nations".

There is a much clearer picture of there being many nations and not one world government, read Matthew 24:6-7

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

Under a one world government during the Tribulation, how exactly does one nation rise against another nation, or one kingdom against another kingdom?

You can't have it both ways, so obviously your Futurist template of the Bible is horribly flawed such that it stomps about the Bible crushing doctrine after doctrine teaching heresy after heresy, and leaving a pile of Contradictions and logical fallacies in its wake.

It is way past time. The UN is an example of how FDR’s legacy continues to screw US citizens decades after he died.

Good luck getting it through congress.

It doesn't have to go through the Senate or be ratified to be put into practical effect. All it takes is a signature by any US government officer appointed to represent "the President."

Well then that's a problem for you because ratification does not require 2/3 of the Senate, it requires "two thirds of Senators present."

Its irritating and even infuriating but it will not ever go into effect.

Bet me. All it takes is a signature and it will go into practical effect.
