Here we go again, Rudy Giuliani edition.

A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll shows the former New York City mayor atop the slow-forming Republican primary field.

The survey shows Giuliani getting 16 percent of independents and Republicans, with nominal frontrunner Mitt Romney a point behind at 15 percent.

Sarah Palin gets 13 percent.

Thanks for those stats, I saved the first one for further review, it looks like a very comprehensive report. (I don’t think anyone here was really “supporting” Rooty, just likely holding open that “soft spot” vis-à-vis his 9/11 leadership, just my opinion.) Thanks again!

I am waiting for them to dig up Harold Stassen.

As you correctly pointed out, he's deceased. But don't worry! He named a replacement who's just as exciting!

It’s Tee-hee-paw’s first stab at trying to get a prom date, so he’s not the new Harold Stassen. Mittens is working on that title albeit with a serious deficit, Stassen actually served in the US Navy as an officer on Adm. Halsey’s staff. So Mittens loses yet again.

Guliani’s campaign crashed and burning in 2008. I expect a repeat.

Yep, but in the meantime, it can divert resources and funding from someone who just might be a desireable candidate. Rudy isn't it, we already know that. Rudy, Mitt, and McCain were tied for last place in my book last primary season.
