Here we go again, Rudy Giuliani edition.
A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation national poll shows the former New York City mayor atop the slow-forming Republican primary field.
The survey shows Giuliani getting 16 percent of independents and Republicans, with nominal frontrunner Mitt Romney a point behind at 15 percent.
Sarah Palin gets 13 percent.

Agreed, Rudy is all that. Your post is based on well known facts and is the same stated beliefs held by red blooded conservatives everywhere.
I can appreciate the "soft spot" many New Yorkers had for Rudy immediately after 911. Although I thought his "America's Mayor" label was way over the top, I too gave Rudy kudos for his post-911 leadership. In the end, however, I think it was way overblown. Rudy was no hero. Like Truman dropping the bomb on Japan and Obama ordering the killing of Osama, historic decisions like these are exactly what most Americans expect from their President's. The weeks and months after 911 called for dignified leadership and Rudy supplied that for the most part. Enough already!
The real issue here was with two Rudyboosters who took issue with my posting rhetoric pertaining to facts about NYC crime rates beginning to first decline under Mayor Dinkins, continuing to slide under Rudy and reaching all time lows under Mayor Bloomberg. These two Rudybots claim I was wrong and offered no proof. The proof is everywhere.
I like Rudy, but NOT for president.
He would be a terrific Attorney General or FBI director.
I read it. My point is that of all the possibilities to worry about, Giuliani shouldn’t be one of them, because his candidacy will implode even faster than it did last time. I worry a lot more about Romney than Giuliani or Newt.
Oh, I don't know. Just everything she has been doing these past couple of years. If you had been paying attention I would NOT need to explain it to you.
I spent hours last night explaining everything about Palin and her presidential aspirations to this 'person', and having what I thought was an intelligent, civil discussion with a Palin doubter - only to have them ping one of the most virulent PDSers on FR to our conversation.
Talk about a diss. I felt like I'd been conned into letting my guard down, and when I let him know that, he brushed it off like it was nothing.
That person is either mentally challenged, or they're a plant.
I ditto what the gentleman said in post #145...all for the Greenville, SC area! Couldn’t have said it better myself...conservative, friendly, affordable, awesome community unity, and so forth.
Read the bill of rights.
CNN poll?
cough, cough.
Hannity sucks.
Rush rules...so far.
Who is telling Rudy that America wants him in the first place?
Yuk! No way, Jose!
He’s better suited for the dems.
At this point in time, all of these polls are name recognition polls. Polls based on the accurate “political substance” of each candidate running don’t exist yet.
Exactly,
Besides the fact that he is a liberal which is well argued here on this thread, I aways am astonished that dogs like him and Newt keep coming out each election cycle. Who the hell is their support base? I aways ask.
Liberal Rudy's moment is gone, no one gives a crap about him now. His last moment was at the 2004 Republican convention starring Rudy, Arnold and McCain , the three RINOs. Those days are long gone
The only way Rudy can get the nom is if the DEMONcrats jump across the lines and vote him in.
Sure, and I'm Ida Lapino.
I don’t believe this poll for a minute, but what little validity it has is all about name recognition, not an actual desire to make him POTUS.
" Ai gotda vunny veeling dah Reepublucan Potty tinks RINOS are pure

You are good :)
Rudy did a good job in 2001...that is now ten years ago...he has since had brain shrinkage..where has he been for ten years???
Run Sarah Run...CNN is scared of YOU
“Giuliani 16%
Romney 15%
Palin 13%”
The MSM is playing this up — the more accurate title would be something like “No real front runner — Giuliani, Romney, Palin are tied within the margin of error”
Having 16% of the votes is not a real “lead” as the MSM is portraying it.
As I read somewhere, the Dem strategy includes hitting hard on the “divide and conquer” strategy.
I smell cheese. Mice beware.
