(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.
Plus, can anyone make out the doctor's name? It looks like David A. Smilan, MD, to me, but I can't find him in google. However, my husband's doctor shows up, even though he delivered my husband more than 57 years ago!

Yeah, Thr big question Obama needs to answer is Why? Did people have to sit in jai, millions spent on defending against having to show this, problems with Hawaii certifying him as eligible to be on their ballot, Why Why Why???

Nope. His father was NOT an American citizen, so that makes him Native Born, not Natural born.
He’s still not eligible to be president!
Also, his mother could not confer citizenship on Obama at the age of 18.
She had to be a citizen for 5 years after the age of 14.

Exactly. Their meme has been that he released his Birth Certificate, or COLB, which they maintain is the same. So what is he doing today?

I don’t know about your state of birth, but I was born in California, and I have a copy that is black where it should be white and vice versa from 1955, a photocopy negative. My daughter was born here in Florida in 1986 and all we got was a copy, not the original, which went to the county registrar.
Were you born at home? My wife was delivered by a mid-wife. Her BC is dated several days after her actual birth, but she was born on Christmas eve, so I can imagine that all the county offices were closed for a week..................
I would be the first to admit that I would hope something could derail his presidency, and have held out hope against my better judgement that he was not born in America. Obama seems to represent something that is non-American to me by way of his policies. From the big-government bullying to the socialism, to his wife just starting to be proud of her country. Is it racism? No, hearing someone like Clarence Thomas talk about his success in America brings tears to my eyes, while Obama is the poster boy for hate America crowd.
if i was him, i’d sit on it until the last minute for max impact. so people can spend time talking about this and not his other issues. in fact, he showed his cards too early.

Obviously the WH has obtained a copy of Corsi’s book..thats’ the ONLY reason why this is happening now. It’s a pre-emptive strike..thus when the book is released they can say..old news..been there, done that..

Yes, very interesting!! If you look closely, where the page is bent back from the copier, the security background does not bend with the page. In other words, the security background is “laid over” the entire page...
