My husband's Hawaiian LFBC was signed on May 30, 1953, and accepted by the local registrar that same day, but the registrar general didn't accept it until June 1st. Of course, the 31st was a holiday, but it still wasn't all done on the same day.

Plus, can anyone make out the doctor's name? It looks like David A. Smilan, MD, to me, but I can't find him in google. However, my husband's doctor shows up, even though he delivered my husband more than 57 years ago!

Is it me, or does Stanley Ann’s and the Doc’s signatures look like the same person’s - just using different pens?
