PORTLAND, Maine - Feds Tuesday granted Maine a waiver of a key provision in President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, citing the likelihood that enforcement could destabilize the state's market for insurance.

Remember back when President Bush told us that he didn't have to follow or enforce the law...
Good grief. I don't think Bush ever said he didn't have to follow or enforce the law. There is no quote. You can't produce one. What you can produce is some convoluted interpretation of what you think constitutes 'law' but I doubt you are a constitutional scholar or anything like that. I'll bet you also believe the Federal Reserve is illegal or somesuch, as well but can't explain why other than 'it's unconstitutional'
Now, here we are, reaping what has been sown for so long.
So, Bush is the reason for Obama's power grab? Ridiculous. I don't know how you draw your conclusions, but your reasoning is clouded by your BDS.

"The executive branch shall construe the provisions of H.R. 3199 that call for furnishing information to entities outside the executive branch, such as sections 106A and 119, in a manner consistent with the President's constitutional authority to supervise the unitary executive branch and to withhold information the disclosure of which could impair foreign relations, national security, the deliberative processes of the Executive, or the performance of the Executive's constitutional duties Sound familiar?" --George W. Bush
So, Bush is the reason for Obama's power grab?
Non sequitur.
The acceptance of President Bush's actions allowed President Obama's power grab.
Your reasoning is clouded by logical fallacies.

I got news for you. Most the leftest in California came from other states as well.
Leftest are like locust.
Wherever society builds something that is clean and safe the leftest locust move in because it is a nice place to live and destroy it. They do it over and over again. And then wonder what happened to the beautiful place they initially moved to...

I even question whether hell be able to hand over the White House keys if he loses in 2012. I doubt he'll have any trouble leaving if he loses...more golf time!
But in this case, hes carrying out the law just as written - he can grant waivers all he wants, for any reason. In a sense, little different than being able to impose taxes by fiat on his perceived enemies.
So many Republicans get all giddy about tax credits, but what is a tax credit? A tax credit is the government taking your money and then letting you have some back if you do what other people want you to do.

Yea - to a point. But a better analogy is a tax credit that the White House gets to hand out, without being based on ANY documented criteria. As far as I know, they don’t exist.

TX isn't exactly booming anymore. And, we're being invaded by the same people who helped ruin where they came from.
It bothers me big time if a state gets a waiver for something that they're reps voted for. The voters have no insentive to hold their reps to the fire if they suffer no consequences of their votes.
I remember a conversation with a security guard in Vegas about 10 years ago....told me where he had moved from...and said, "If you are looking for a job in Vegas and don't have one in 24 hours, you weren't looking for a job."
Somebody voted for Reid decades ago.

I am going to call the AG in Michigan. He is one of the 26 States that filled the lawsuit in Florida. Equal Protection Clause - Did not Obama claim that DOMA was unconstitutional by the same clause? Am I missing something

Is it just me, or does this country drift towards dictatorship when the Executive Branch can determine (via waivers in this case) which states and companies get punished by Obamacare (or any other program). It's the Chicago way. Remember how Governor Blago would say he wasn't giving up xyz favor for NOTHING? Every Obama waiver is a direct quid pro quo for favors or contributions.

Bush cited Executive Privilege, big deal, All CIC’s do this at one time or another. You haven’t uncovered anything earth-shattering there.
You were the one that suggested Obama’s power grab was somehow congruent to Bush. You drew the line, not me. I am completely certain that Obama would get away with as much as he can despite Bush.
Logical Fallacy? That’s just something you throw at people who ask you to prove the lies you’re posting and that you suggest ‘my reasoning is clouded by it’ is Ad-Hominem.
