DETAILS: Its a waiver of the requirement of spending 80 cents to 85 cents of every premium dollar on medical care and quality improvement. Maine can keep it to 65% for a few more years as the 65% has been the norm for Maine for some time.
Whatever happened to “equal protection under the law”?
There’s no way that any of these waivers are going to stand up in a court of law, if challenged.
I also saw on Drudge that Obama’s DOJ has filed their appeal per Judge Vinson’s order, in the 11th Circuit.
Not for nothing the ins. companies were the major writers of obamacare.
Put a fork in this garbage. Isn’t this a violation under equal protection?
They grant any more waivers to this disaster it will become a bill of attainder to the last man standing.

Did the whole sate of Maine have to sell all their first born sons to get this waver?
Is it just me, or does this country drift towards dictatorship when the Executive Branch can determine (via waivers in this case) which states and companies get punished by Obamacare (or any other program).
It seems that if laws are passed by Congress, they should either apply to EVERYONE, or no one.
There will be so many waivers, that it will be up to a few taxpayers, a few states (dem ones) to fund this whole mess. It’s dead, trust me!

Obamacare is DOA. This is a golden opportunity to bury all the other dead-weighted liberal ideas along with it.

We are such a 3rd world country now.

I agree, it’s basically dead. Class action lawsuits and non-compliance should finish it off.
