Obama installs Clinton alone at the podium, leaves him to it; Obama gone, Clinton still there
Vanity | December 10, 2010

Posted on 12/10/2010 2:01:24 PM PST by La Lydia

The darnedest thing just happened on TV. Still happening. Obama takes Clinton to the White House press briefing room. Turns the podium over to Clinton, and leaves the room. If you didn't have the sound on your TV, it looked like Obama resigned and handed over to Clinton. Clinton still talking, setting up dueling filibuster with Bernie Sanders. Clinton at that podium is bad deja vu.

We discussed this for more than a year here in 2004.

You are right about the INTENT of XXII, but the WORDS forbid being ELECTED more than twice.

The amendment is very poorly drafted. It does not redefine “eligibility” and it does not bar attaining the office other than by election.

“...It’s a good reminder that no movement in politics is permanent. ....”

Dan Nunn, regarding the Tea Party: I’m pinging some other good folks here who I think can also add to this. Your point about permanent movements is well-taken. It’s only as permanent as WE make it, good brother.

The socialist Left has managed put a large percentage of the population to sleep over the years; but another part of that is attributed to just normal apathy and being fat, dumb, well-fed, and complacent.

A lot of People tend to believe that other “Americans” would NEVER do anything to damage the country, and don’t/can’t see these socialists for what they really are - internationalist subversives with allegiance to something OTHER than the best interests of America; they are NOT our countrymen, and calling them “american”, to me, is only stating that they’re here in this physical location of the Earth with us.

WE need to keep the Tea Party and Patriot mentality alive, and make it as permanent as we can - because the Left sure as hell has been a “permanent” movement for decades...they’ve been focused, dedicated, determined, and finally partially successful in driving this country towards full-tilt political correctness and socialism - all because the threshold of disbelief of most people is high enough that they can’t conceive of anyone doing to screw up a good country. They play on the trust of good but naive people, and the ignorant who don’t pay attention.

We need to remember who WE are - we’re Americans, with ancestors who left other countries that sucked, so they could find and make a place that DOESN’T suck. They ran HERE, because it was the last place to run TO. The majority of our ancestors left “utopian worker’s paradises” like these bastards are trying to create here; others left despotic monarchies, dictatorships, and other forms of repressive BS governments.

We’re watching the 150-odd-year old Wet Dream of the socialists being played out right now - in our generation. They’ve been bopping their bacon over this moment for decades, and they’re determined to ram it down our throats now that they finally have “the power”.

And it falls to us to stop them - whatever way, by whatever means necessary, and keep the Tea Party mentality moving forward - just as the original Tea Party moved forward.

Why us? Because WE’RE here. Us, and no one else.

Will it get nasty? Probably. No fascist/socialist/ liberal/totalitarian movement ever went away quietly. We just need to understand what we’re willing to give up, what’s worth fighting for.

For me, I want my kids to have BETTER opportunities than I had. I don’t have much in this life, but I am blessed to have been born an American, in a country that God saw fit to bring into existence for His purposes, so that people can have a little sanity in an insane world, and not have to live their lives covered in sh*t like animals under the dictates of some “king” or “generalissmo” or “General Secretary” or “minister” - or whatever euphamism they call themselves.

We’re Americans; we don’t bow to anyone, we don’t kneel to anyone (except God), and we sure as HELL don’t surrender to our own temporary, moronic Public Servants - no matter how much power they think they have.

We can say “Hell NO.” We can tell them to go f*** themselves, and back it up.

It takes guts.

And if not for guts, we wouldn’t even BE here. And that’s what we need to remember and rekindle in people - as an American people, as an American race, and as an American Nation. Guts drove people across oceans in wooden, leaking boats, starving and thirsting...to land here and face a wilderness populated by savages and an uncertain future...

...later on, guts drove other people across barbed-wire and mined borders, drove them under and over Soviet-built fences and re-education camps, and finally landed them here to say “Thank GOD for America”.

Yeah, it’s still here...it’s just sleeping but starting to wake up. And that re-awakening fierce Americanism scares the HELL out of the Left - after they’ve spent decades trying to erase it.

And it should scare them. It should make them lay awake every night in a pool of sweat. Because we’ve been taking and rolling with their punches for a long time now.

November 2010 was America starting to punch back.

Sorry for the rant...I’m a little worked up today.

I would add, Gibbs did not give Clinton the hook. This suggests Gibbs is equally as clueless as Obama as to how bad this made Obama look. Gibbs thought Clinton hit a home-run pinch hitting for Obama.

Obama is an amateur, but he also filled his staff with amateurs. It is like Boys Nation visited the White House on a field trip, found it empty, and took over.

Put two full blown narcissists together at the White House podium, and anything can happen.

Boy, that's the truth. A totally unpredictable moment.

I can't help contemplate the difference between the decision-making abilities of the common man, such as ourselves, and those in power, in recognizing a potential blunder. I'm no politician, but if I were in that position, seeking assistance, I don't think I would have publicly let everyone know that I was in a quandary, and I certainly wouldn't let BJ-Bill closer than an LD private phone call. It shows a clear lack of situational foresight, given the personality involved.

Secondly, Gibbs totally abandoned his duties of controlling the presser. Inexcusable, really; if he were my press secretary, I'd be tempted to fire him before the weekend was out. But the situation is now hopelessly beyond repair; I don't know what I would advise. Appreciating the past record of incompetence of this executive office, anything may happen. Most likely, they'll simply bury it.

As Tom Wolfe would have said, "He screwed the pooch". Unfortunately, with the current media locked up tight, some pooches can't be screwed, no matter how hard we try.

Pass the popcorn.

"Obama is an amateur, but he also filled his staff with amateurs. It is like Boys Nation visited the White House on a field trip, found it empty, and took over".

A theorem in cybernetics states that the controlling system must be at least as complex as the system being controlled.

The obamicons just don't have the bandwidth.

Parallel (history repeating) is the Greek junta, (1967-1974) where the original military junta was itself hi-jacked by the military police.

subsequently it collapsed.

The Colonels’ junta, which ruled from April 1967 through July 1974, arrested a total of about 87,000 people (of whom 2,800 were tortured), and assassinated 88 persons.

USA has about 30 times the population of Greece, and is well armed so the internments and casualties my not exactly scale up.

I agree it made Obama look bad. However, from the media coverage I saw, this incident was glossed over - or did I miss the criticisms?

Obama had luck: Right ethnicity, right place, right time.

He’s been a tool. Now that the tool has been shown to be inferior, somethin’s gotta’ change.

As I think it over again, it is just as well that O’bummer left the stage. Teleprompters don’t raise your IQ, he’s proven that, and every time he opens his mouth he sticks his foot in it even when bowing out of a room or simply standing in one.

Was interesting and at the same time embarrassing to actually hear inaction in the form of questions and answers without the continuous uh...uh...uh sounds.

The whole ordeal was misguided just like our Country.

That video is stunning. Obama is a complete imbecile.

He's not even smart enough to know how stupid he is, and how incompetant he looks.

Incredible!

Somewhere near the end of the video, Bill says something about how he rushed and flew all night (from where he was) just to get to the WH for this.
