America's first GOVERNMENT-MANDATED VEHICLE fresh from GOVERNMENT MOTORS. They should have called it the ObamaMobile because it's just what the Kenyan told them to make! And it's over-priced, too! WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!
How long till we're all REQUIRED to buy one (for our OWN GOOD, of course)? Electric cars DON'T WORK! Duuuh.

It has an onboard generator - it actually has unlimited mileage... as long as you keep feeding it that eeeeeeevil gasoline.

I have to pay taxes to help rich people afford solar to beat the high electric prices that I pay, I may as well be forced to buy rich people economical cars so that they can beat the high gas prices that I pay, maybe I will have enough blood left to pay for their kids college that I can’t afford for myself or mine.

How much juice will it draw on that 10 hour recharge?
As compared to, say.....6-8 100 Watt lightbulbs?
4 hours at 220V. Wouldn’t that be like 4 hours with the dryer on high? or your water heater?
As compared to a some gas cars that can go that far on $2.79 worth of unleaded?

High efficiency cleaned-up diesels likely a better “green choice”. Those don’t waste energy hauling heavy batteries around.

We don't have enough coal now to run our power plants.
What happens if 10% of autos use electric power?

Just imagine what kind of resto you could do to an old classic car with $41k. You could put every conceivable luxury add-on in it.

All govt cars will be required to buy into this....this way, we have to pay for repairs, elec ins etc etc....FOREVER!!!!!!

But government tax credits and rebates designed to speed the entry of electric vehicles into the marketplace will make the price more attractive. There's a federal tax credit of $7,500 for electric vehicles.English Translation: We are all buying electric cars. Most of us are being forced to buy them for other people to drive.

Chevy Volt ($33,500) vs Mazda 3 ($15,345)
The Mazda 3 gets 33mpg highway so with the $18,155 you save you can buy 6,051 gallons of gas ($3/gal) and drive almost 200,000 miles.

This whole electric car thing is out of control.
I was traveling on I-64 West toward Richmond from Newport News and stopped at a Rest Area. This State-run rest stop had free chargers for electric vehicles!
That means our taxes will now pay for everybody to charge up their car. I thought we would have to pay for a charge like stopping at a gas station.

I’ve taken a job requiring a big commute and really need to get rid of my old car.
I’m pleasantly surprised at how little the Prius costs after a couple years, and the gas mileage is great.
Haven’t test driven one, so I am not sure if I would like it...heard they can be annoying when the transmission shifts.

Anyone checked on the price to replace those batteries? Recharging won't matter when you have to shell out $10 grand on batteries for your little lawnmower engine to charge.
I hope EVERYBODY buys one, and I hope it will be EDSEL of the 21st century so everyone will finally see what a bunch of buffoons gore and obama turn out to be.
They're building high speed trains all over, THAT is what they will put us on for any distances over 40 miles, and the "golf carts" will be just to get us to our assigned work locations to pay into dear reader's tax bucket.
But, it's got an "onboard gasoline engine" to recharge the batteries; my lawn tractor has an 8-gallon tank...it takes over $20 to fill up my LAWN MOWER at today's prices. If obama has his way for $10 per gallon gasoline, and you need just 8 gallons in this pukewagon, it will still be $80 for a fillup.
When those expense recharge batteries take their last charge before going belly-up, people will be riding around on that little gasoline engine's generator before shelling out the money for new batteries.
Think, Edsel, Corvair, Pinto, Vega, all of the brilliant ideas that flopped. Welcome the VOLT to the bunch.
