BEIRUT, May 26 (KUNA) -- The Lebanese army announced on Wednesday that it launched surface-to-air missiles at Israeli fighter jets that had violated the Lebanese airspace.

A statement issued by the army directorate said that the two Israeli jets penetrated Lebanese airspace over the town of Kfar Kila in the south, heading to Shaka town.

A decent nation is not the same as Lebanon which, though perhaps involuntarily, has been a proxy for the enemies of humanity. To say they’re justified for firing at Israel because we’re justified at firing on Mexico is making us a moral equal with Iran. Israel has the “right” to exist, therefore they have to do what they can to survive. Lebanon, as a proxy for Syria and Iran, has as much right to defend herself against Israel as Syria and Iran do. It’s a fallacy to think of Lebanon as a sovereign nation protecting her sovereignty.

Do I blame them for firing on Israel? No, I blame them for being a puppet for rouge regimes. The fact their “military” would fire on those who should be their ally exposes their complicity and marks the death of the Ceder Revolution.

When was the last time a cuban jet overflew the U.S.?
A couple in the 90s i think are the most recent.

Here’s a few examples. We didn’t shoot at either. Short of open war, seeing an aircraft stray into your space is never justification alone to open fire.

“I wonder if they would have fired on a Syrian jet.”

Good point

Let me know what you think.
OK, I will: Obama is Gog.

Previously I had him pegged as the Antitchrist, but the Antichrist is described as a powerful and convincing public speaker in the Bible, so that rules him out for that role.

I recall a few airplanes from America within recent memory being shot at/down by the Cuban government for “straying” into their sovereign airspace.

Gog is Russia.

Obama is an on deck anti-Christ.
Satan has to keep one on deck because he has not idea of the day or hour either.

Well Scythian....have you expressed what you wrote here to the Lord himself? I think sometimes our seemingly fear of the unknown is simply God stretching our faith....believing that what he says is so for us personally. Beleiving without seeing.

The household of faith has always encouraged me my faith...so many in the old testament believed all that God said...and they had little evidence otherwise to support this. Since your faith rests in Christ and He is your savior...that does say it doesn’t it?

Bad thoughts are a battle for us all...some more than others and oftentimes might be because life was pretty wretched before we were saved...so the memories of these times can enter our minds....but In Christ you have “the mind of Christ”....and his forgiveness says to quite fishing in the past...

” Bringing every thought”.... to Him is a good way to overcome these as they come to mind...as soon as you are aware your thinking of these ask for his help...He will do that.

Can Obama handle a three-front war?

Why do you think he's going to have us join the Labanese in it's fight against Israel? I don't think he has the political clout to do such a thing.

Gog is Russia
It was my understanding that Gog is a person, and Magog is a place, land, or country from whence Gog originated.

From Ezekial 38:
Gog of the land of Magog, the chief ruler of the nations of Meshech and Tubal

Now, I was off also on Russia being part of Magog. It IS mentioned elsewhere, but some eschatologists think that Meshech and Tubal refer to places in Turkey.

When you have to announce that you shot at someone, it’s usually a sign that your air defense isn’t all that impressive.

And second, the Church will have to disappear.

What? You mean to say that the heroine of this story isn't even on stage for the most grand of all grand finales?? Since when are mere mortals like Cecil B. deMille and James Cameron better screenwriters than YHVH??

I'm not buying it.

“And second, the Church will have to disappear. Paul wrote that Israel had been hardened in part until the full number of Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:25). That means as long as the Church is around Israel won’t be able to recognize God’s involvement in their national life. But the Battle of Ezekiel 38 will be such a miraculous victory that it will re-awaken Israel to God’s presence. This means the Dispensation of Grace will have come to an end and the Church will be gone by the time this battle comes to an end.” [from part 1]

The fullness of the Gentiles will come in but it doesn’t necessarily mean that as soon as the last 6 year old goes up to the altar or some bushman in a jungle confesses Christ that the trumps will sound and the church just disappears. I have some questions as to Mr. Kelly’s assertion that the Church is gone just as soon as the last gentile comes in then bam Israel finds God. God may find Israel and protect her as Ezekiel states...but events suggest that Israel hasn’t found Christ en masse(though many individual jews are being converted at an increasing rate right now) at that point hence the rebuild of the temple and the resumption of animal sacrifices when in fact Christ is the ultimate final sacrifice for all men!

The Bible verses that describe the rise of the “son of perdition” state that “even the elect” will have a difficult time not being deceived by this man; which suggests that there will be elect(ie the church) around to watch the “son of perdition” being revealed!

The New Testament states the Christ would not come until that “son of perdition first be revealed”. The fact that many Jews are already coming to Christ and increasing numbers are making Aliyah to Israel now suggests that the church has begun to reach fullness in terms of gentiles saved. Prophetic events dovetail, blend and merge as opposed to just simply happening in staccato fashion(a to b to c) like the wind that blows at first weakly then strongly then weakly again. The flow is constant and inexorable(”for the like the wind that comes and goes as it wills so does the Spirit of God”) until God’s ordained equilibrium is reached. Prophetic events need to be looked at 4 dimensionally as many will be occurring “concurrently” not just one after the other in chronological historic fashion.

God’s word is true and all things will happen as God ordains...but prepare for departures from man’s accepted narrative as to how things will happen. Christ says he “comes like a thief” in a way most unexpected so he says “be ready”. Christ first came at a time and in a manner quite out of the expected mainstream narrative...we have to be flexible enough to consider that end times events may occur in such a way as well. The book of Revelation describes multitudes of Saints killed for their refusal to worship the Beast and to take his mark...so the question of the church and events in the “latter days” is still open to some discussion.

Paul described his situation which matches a lot of what you are going thru//(prepare for scriptural moral boost missile barrage!!!!!”...”I do the things I should not and don’t do the things I should....who will deliver me from this body of death....flesh has emnity with the spirit and spirit has emnity with the flesh...I besought the Lord three times to rid my flesh of this thorn, this messenger of Satan sent to buffet me, but He said ‘My grace is sufficient for the’, so I will glory in my infirmities, for to live is Christ and die is gain...”

My spirit filled grandma often told me/...”Bad thoughts are like bats flying thru your belfry, you don’t have to let them make a nest” Or as scripture says “Guard the heart for out of it flows the issues of life”. Christ said,”It’s not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out of him”.

Just tell the Lord what you are feeling, even the sinful publican who smote his breast praying” Lord have mercy on me a sinner” found justification with God.

So take heart, don’t lose the sorrow and humility that knowledge of yourself has produced in your soul before God, yet take heart, for God has shown you grace. “Be of good cheer,” Christ said”I have already overcome the world”.

Interesting analysis. I always wonder about prophecy, though. If the people in the time of the prophecy can understand it, wouldn’t they change their behavior and thus alter the chain of events? It is compelling, though, so I’ll mark this site for some more reading later.
