The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18. Thats the presidents lowest rating since the health care bill became law in March (see trends).
I don't believe there are any honorable muslims who are truly devout. Read the koran. You can't be both honorable and muslim.
There is an exception to every rule. I do not want to paint with a brush which is too broad, but I stand behind my statement as it is true for most people. Let me expound on your three examples:
Muslims -- Muslims worship Satan. All of them do. There are no moderate Muslims. They are a destructive force. No decent society should tolerate them. In this respect, I think our First Amendment is flawed -- the goal of Islam is to alter a society so that religious freedom can be taken away. If we grant them religious freedom, then it is just a matter of time before we lose our own. A choice must be made: I want Islam to be illegal.
Blacks -- There are many fine blacks. Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams ... I could go on and on. However, the dominant black culture today seems to be all rap, gangbangers, illegitemate babies and willfully bad educations. People who make apologies for that ghetto culture need to be told that they are fools. I certainly don't want any of my tax dollars going to prop up that lifestyle.
The poor -- Many poor folks get a raw deal. Sickness, abuse, disabilities. These are serious things and any decent society needs to have compassion for people who suffer in these ways. Now, let's move on to the people who never cared about school, never developed decent work habits, had children out of wedlock, and who think that Uncle Sugar just needs to keep the money flowing. Sorry. All done. I have no patience for THAT kind of poor person.
“shes toasting and everyone is ignoring her!”
I’ve been wondering about this picture. Looks like she’s giving the evil eye to a steward, as if to say, “Hey, fella, do your job and refill my glass!”
Well, actually, you can, in a way -- but usually it's a web hacking technique known as Link Injection. LOL
pgkdan: “You can’t be both honorable and muslim.”
Then why did you make the distinction of “truly devout” Muslims? I agree truly devout Muslims are incompatible with western civilization, but there are also millions of nominal Muslims who lead respectable lives. Many, many Muslims are Muslim simple because they were raised into it, just like many Christians claim Christianity but don’t really practice it.
I’m in the category of not INSTIGATING confrontation. However, I have a backbone of steel when personally challenged or when someone else opens the door to political argument. I am a fierce advocate for the vulnerable elderly and infirm. I felt like I was having a nervous breakdown as Terri Schiavo’s life ebbed away. That’s the first time I thought, “We’ve lost this country.”
My Fellow Americans.... A NOVEMBER to REMEMBER!
2010
It’s quite a pet peeve of mine to see someone enter Congress with a net worth of around $1.5 million, get paid what their salary is, then wind up with a net worth of $20 million after twelve years in office.
They must have some investment program up there.
LBJ started it ;-)
We're definitely approaching new territory. The ten-day moving average for the Rasmussen Index dropped again this morning, now down to -15.10. It hasn't been that low since March 25. In other words, the lift Big Ø got from the health takeover vote looks to be just about totally kaput.
By the way, I use the word "approaching" above because the historic low for the ten-day moving average of the Index was -17.70. This level was reached on March 19 and March 20, that is, just before the final health takeover vote. When the ten-day average breaks thru the "support level" of -17.70, then I'll be prepared to say we're definitely into new territory.
They must have some investment program up there.
Not only the access to insider information for trading but they also get to keep any unspent campaign donations.
Legalized bribery is all it is.
When the president sides with a hostile third world country against America, they’re even gonna notice in Rio Linda.
Wouldn’t doubt it. He was a real character, to put it mildly.
I heartily agree MNJohnnie. I would rather see donations turned over to the person who replaced the politician (if the same party), or the party itself. Those funds were not sent in to build personal wealth. This is a example of misappropriation of funds IMO. It really rubs me wrong.
>> Obama’s “strongly approve” number is definitely slipping, which is largely driving his downward trend. <<
Yep. After the health takeover vote, the SA’s began rising, and the ten-day average reached a peak on April 7, at 31.6%. But now, the number has fallen to 26.8%. So in round numbers, the range has been ca. 5%.
In the meantime, over the same period, the ten-day average for the SD’s has never been higher than 42.00%, and never lower than 39.6%. Today it stands at 41.9%. So the range, again in round numbers, has been only ca. 2%
Therefore, if we use the above ranges as proxies for “solidity of conviction,” the SA’s appear twice as “mushy” or twice as “fickle” or twice as “uncertain” as the SD’s — certainly an excellent sign!
(For the statisticians out there: I think it’s also plausible to measure “mushiness” by standard deviations and coefficients of variation. But according to my calculations, the basic answer is always about the same: The SA’s are approximately twice as uncertain in their convictions as are the SD’s.)
>> Apparently, the honeymoon with his base that he enjoyed after the health scare bill was passed is wearing off.<<
Absolutely!
>> There appears to be upward movement on his “strongly disapprove” <<
Wish I could agree, but sorry to say that a quick glance at the data doesn’t persaude. Still hoping, however, to see such a trend later!
(I guess one could run some linear regressions and compare the correlation coefficients and/or t-scores for the regression coefficients, to examine whether there’s evidence of a trend over various time periods. But I really doubt the outcome would be positive, at least not for the time being.)
Are we seeing the first POLITICAL suicide bomber?
Honestly, this is really bad news for Obama because this should be going up to his relative peak. Which tends to be a 4-6 point spread peak to trough. Or it may indicate that Rassmussen has changed the sampling order.. But, assuming not. This could presage a -21 or lower bottom 8+ days from now.
Immigration and oil leak inaction are going over big, eh?
