There were multiple live rallies in Arizona, a picnic, a paid photo-op, an op-ed in the Arizona Republic, an appearance on Fox News broadcast worlwide, her image plastered all over his campaign Web site for months, and then the daily radio ads broadcast in Arizona that SJB is talking about.

My she's a busy one. Must be why she had to quit that governorship.

He’s opposed to it at the moment, the same with amnesty.
He passed the ball over to his good friend Lindsey Graham to take the reigns of these matters of national importance.....at least until Nov 3.

I hope they all go vote for JD. Still just over four months until August 24. Don’t think I’ve ever kept up with a senatorial campaign for this length of time, about eight months by the time they vote.

JD is a blowhard whose stupid antics lost a safe Republican seat. Another vote for Obamacare which never should have been - thanks, JD.

He should not be rewarded with the Senate nomination.

You do not know what you are talking about !

Or are you really John McCain?

I actually find it rather funny when MeCain supporters mention a few things J.D. Hayworth has done wrong, as if that's supposed to sway public opinion in favor of MeCain.  Read the things MeCain has done in this response, and you'll begin to see why.

Vote Hayworth for U.S. Senator for the Great State of Arizona.

2005/01/12 McCain introduces a bill (S1033) on the floor of the Senate, during the first session of the 109th Congress.  It's co-authors are Ted Kennedy, Brownbeck, Lieberman, Graham, and Salazar.  The bill among other things, initiates a study (Section 1004) on how to set up a system where U.S. health insurers can become bi-national, providing health insurance to U.S. and Mexican citizens.  McCain was trying to set up a road to health care for Mexican nationals. Is this more infrastructure being 'harmonized' in the effort to establish a one hemispheric entity, the North American Union?  One must ponder, Is John MeCain our Senator, a Mexican Senator ruling from our side of the border, or a representative of the United Nations assigned to relegate the United States to a nation whose citizens have absolutely no way to affect the laws they are subject to?  If we're just part of the North American Union, what real sovereignty will we have?  What ability will we have to demand our laws be changed, if two other nations want those laws because they favor them?

"I don't see how JD doesn't beat McCain. Rasmussen:Ninety-one percent (91%) say a candidate’s position on immigration is at least somewhat important to how they will vote, with 67% who say it is very important. "

The only way McCain can win, is the way he's always won....he lies, his supporters lie, and much of the public buys it.

His office repeatedly says he opposes amnesty.

That's what his website says, his ads, his recent speeches. He's a liar. He's a dangerous, twisted, liar supported and put in office by the worst of the worst...mobsters...indicted political buddies...you name it. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out Sarah Palin is terrified of this corrupt old man for some reason or other. I sure wouldn't want McCain on the wrong side of me. I'd rather think that than her excuses for him, because none of them are good enough

For all our sakes, Hayworth, take him out!

MUST SEE! FLUSH THE JOHN! Johnny’s got to go!

This one is hilarious and VERY accurate! (4 minutes!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJobkdeho88

Now remember kiddies, it's NOT AMNESTY, it's 'legalization'... so it's just dandy! Same result...20 million democrat voting foreigners get to stay...but it's NOT amnesty.

* May 29, 2003 interview: McCain: “Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here and pay taxes here and are not citizens.“

Dec. 15, 2000 press release: McCain: ”I support the Latino and Immigrant Fairness Act (LIFA). Negotiations between the White House and the leadership, which endorsed more limited immigration reform, have resulted in a compromise.... this bill makes meaningful but insufficient progress on amnesty for those wrongly denied it.“

Poll: Voters Unaware of Candidates' Immigration Positions; McCain Supporters Farthest Off the Mark

# Only 34 percent of McCain voters, 42 percent of Clinton voters, and 52 percent of Obama voters correctly identified their candidate as favoring eventual citizenship for illegal immigrants who meet certain requirements.

# Of McCain voters, 35 percent mistakenly thought he favored enforcement that would cause illegals to return home, another 10 percent thought he wanted mass deportations, and 21 percent didn’t know his position.

# Voters often held different positions from the candidate they supported. Only 31 percent of McCain voters had the same immigration position as he does. For Clinton voters, 45 percent shared her position; 61 percent of Obama voters shared his position

If you can show a posting history where she is high on your list...people might give half a crap.

"I was being generous, but for the life of me, I don’t know why. Palin has palpably damaged J.D., thus far."

Originally, I said that this campaigning for McCain was going to hurt Sarah more than it was going to help McCain, but I was wrong.

In this close race, it's helping McCain just enough to perhaps win the primary over JD.

But if that happens, JD supporters and many other Conservatives are never going to forgive Sarah. Sarah may well have just thrown herself on a political grenade to save John McCain's seat, and the fallout for her probably isn't going to be pretty.

Your McCAin talking points calling his opponent a ‘blowhard’ are getting boring.

And it’s laughable...McCain is known as the SENATE blowhard!
Funny, that....McCain is a master at calling other people exactly what he’s guilty of. For McCain supporters, anyone who tells the truth about John McCain is a ‘blowhard’, racist, or whatever the insult of the day is. So Obamalike.

Capitol Hill staffers rate their bosses.
McCain got no glory from those who work with him.
“Every election year we survey top aides on both sides of the aisle—administrative assistants, press secretaries, legislative directors, and chiefs of committee staffs—to get their up-close and personal, and anonymous, views. While there may be lots of partisan backbiting among congress members, their staffers seem far more capable of putting politics aside and making honest judgments. It wasn’t unusual for aides in both parties to name one of their own as “spineless” or give the “workhorse” nod to someone across the aisle. “

THE McCAIN WAY - ATTACK REPUBLICANS

Defending His Amnesty Bill, “Presidential hopeful John McCain - who has been dogged for years by questions about his volcanic temper - erupted in an angry, profanity-laced tirade at a fellow Republican senator, sources told The Post yesterday. In a heated dispute over immigration-law overhaul, McCain screamed, ‘F— you!’ at Texas Sen. John Cornyn, who had been raising concerns about the legislation. ‘This is chickens—stuff,’ McCain snapped at Cornyn, according to several people in the room off the Senate floor Thursday. ‘You’ve always been against this bill, and you’re just trying to derail it.’” (Charles Hurt, “Raising McCain,” New York Post, 5/19/07)

In 2000, Sen. McCain Ran An Attack Ad Comparing Then-Gov. George W. Bush To Bill Clinton. SEN. MCCAIN: “I guess it was bound to happen. Governor Bush’s campaign is getting desperate, with a negative ad about me. The fact is, I’ll use the surplus money to fix Social Security, cut your taxes and pay down the debt. Governor Bush uses all of the surplus for tax cuts, with not one new penny for Social Security or the debt. His ad twists the truth like Clinton. We’re all pretty tired of that. As president, I’ll be conservative and always tell you the truth. No matter what.” (McCain 2000, Campaign Ad, 2/9/00; www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHoXkCprdL4)

Sen. McCain Repeatedly Called Sen. Pete Domenici (R-NM) nams. “Why can’t McCain win the votes of his own colleagues? To explain, a Republican senator tells this story: at a GOP meeting last fall, McCain erupted out of the blue at the respected Budget Committee chairman, Pete Domenici, saying, ‘Only an a–hole would put together a budget like this.’ Offended, Domenici stood up and gave a dignified, restrained speech about how in all his years in the Senate, through many heated debates, no one had ever called him that. Another senator might have taken the moment to check his temper. But McCain went on: ‘I wouldn’t call you an a–hole unless you really were an a–hole.’ The Republican senator witnessing the scene had considered supporting McCain for president, but changed his mind. ‘I decided,’ the senator told Newsweek, ‘I didn’t want this guy anywhere near a trigger.’” (Evan Thomas, et al., “Senator Hothead,” Newsweek, 2/21/00)

Sen. McCain Had A Heated Exchange With Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) And Called Him A “F*cking Jerk.” “Senators are not used to having their intelligence or integrity challenged by another senator. ‘Are you calling me stupid?’ Sen. Chuck Grassley once inquired during a debate with McCain over the fate of the Vietnam MIAs, according to a source who was present. ‘No,’ replied McCain, ‘I’m calling you a f—ing jerk!” (Evan Thomas, et al., “Senator Hothead,” Newsweek, 2/21/00)

In 1995, Sen. McCain Had A “Scuffle” With 92-Year-Old Sen. Strom Thurmond (R-SC) On The Senate Floor. “In January 1995, McCain was midway through an opening statement at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing when chairman Strom Thurmond asked, ‘Is the senator about through?’ McCain glared at Thurmond, thanked him for his ‘courtesy’ (translation: buzz off), and continued on. McCain later confronted Thurmond on the Senate floor. A scuffle ensued, and the two didn’t part friends.” (Harry Jaffe, “Senator Hothead,” The Washingtonian, 2/97)

Sen. McCain Attacked Christian Leaders And Republicans In A Blistering Speech During The 2000 Campaign. MCCAIN: “Unfortunately, Governor Bush is a Pat Robertson Republican who will lose to Al Gore. … The political tactics of division and slander are not our values… They are corrupting influences on religion and politics, and those who practice them in the name of religion or in the name of the Republican Party or in the name of America shame our faith, our party and our country. Neither party should be defined by pandering to the outer reaches of American politics and the agents of intolerance, whether they be Louis Farrakhan or Al Sharpton on the left, or Pat Robertson or Jerry Falwell on the right.” (Sen. John McCain, Remarks, Virginia Beach, VA, 2/28/00)

Celebrating His First Senate Election In 1986, Sen. McCain Screamed At And Harassed A Young Volunteer. “It was election night 1986, John McCain had just been elected to the U.S. Senate for the first time. Even so, he was not in a good mood. McCain was yelling at the top of his lungs and poking the chest of a young volunteer who had set up a lectern that was too tall for the 5-foot-9 politician to be seen to advantage, according to a witness to the outburst. ‘Here this poor guy is thinking he has done a good job, and he gets a new butt ripped because McCain didn’t look good on television,’ Jon Hinz told a reporter Thursday. At the time, Hinz was executive director of the Arizona Republican Party. … ‘There were an awful lot of people in the room,’ Hinz recalled. ‘You’d have to stick cotton in your ears not to hear it. He (McCain) was screaming at him, and he was red in the face.’” (Kris Mayes and Charles Kelly, “Stories Surface On Senator’s Demeanor,” The Arizona Republic, 11/5/99)

Sen. McCain “Publicly Abused” Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL). “[McCain] noted his propensity for passion but insisted that he doesn’t ‘insult anybody or fly off the handle or anything like that.’ This is, quite simply, hogwash. McCain often insults people and flies off the handle…. There have been the many times McCain has called reporters ‘liars’ and ‘idiots’ when they have had the audacity to ask him unpleasant, but pertinent, questions. ” (Editorial, “There’s Something About McCain,” The Austin American-Statesman, 1/24/07) http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/news/presidential_briefing/?p=161

J.D. is so far better than McQueeg it isn’t funny. And I seem to remember a few other Republicans losing “safe” seats, including about three here in OH.

I actually find it rather funny when MeCain supporters mention a few things J.D. Hayworth has done wrong, as if that's supposed to sway public opinion in favor of MeCain. Read the things MeCain has done in this response, and you'll begin to see why.

Well, you have to admit one thing. The McCainiacs have balls of brass to actually try to defend this quisling!

QUISLING!

definition: A traitor who serves as the puppet of the enemy occupying his or her country.

The shoe fits McCain, so wear it proudly, you earned it.

Didn’t you mean “Quisling” Maverick? LMAO

I’m not convinced ‘Manchurian Candidate’ is tenable, but I will admit to thinking ‘Ho Chi Mhin Candidate’ might be a comfortable fit.

After his actions concerning the MIAs with regard to normalized trade relations for Vietnam, I have held the Ho Chi Mhin thing a real possibility. Nothing else could explain what this bastard did in the early 90s.

BTW, Quisling is a very appropote label for this seeming sleeper.
