In a press release just handed to Fox by the FBI, the six Michigan residents, two from Ohio, one from Indiana are charged with “seditious conspiracy.”
Reportedly, Hutaree is accused of attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. Charges range from August 2008 to today. The militia group Hutaree are said to have conspired to oppose by force the authority of the US Government.
The members viewed local, state and federal law enforcement as "the brotherhood," also known as their enemy, and have been preparing, the FBI says, to engage them in armed conflict.
According to one plan released by the FBI, the group was to kill a law enforcement officer, then during the funeral precession, hit again with IEDs to kill more LEOs.

I disagree with a couple of the things you’ve said.
1. The feds know about the Islamic training camps. How can I, a nonentity, know about them, and the feds not know? Come on.
2. Prosecutors are indeed politically motivated, just as juddges, defense attorneys and juries. To say they mostly are not and only career minded is a feeble excuse. And career minded includes politically minded.
Hard core leftist prosecuters or for instant AG Holder are stinking political animals who will do anything to further the leftist agenda and that includes coddling Muslim terrorists, breaking the law themselves, and lying whenever they get a chance.

Good take on this.
1. I’m sure they know of the training camps. What I’m not sure they know is whether there are actual crimes going on at those camps.
2. I said they are politically motivated. Politicians want to be elected or appointed to political office, first and foremost. Being the U.S. Attorney who looked the other way and allowed a terrorist plot to be carried to fruition would preclude that U.S. Attorney from ever being elected or appointed to public office again.
Politicians are generally not willing to sacrifice their careers to further their ideological agenda. Most U.S. Attorneys are politicians.
There may be a few of the Hutaree group who are OK but there’s something about them that makes me awfully uncomfortable.
My first thought was that if they had only been planning to mow down some soldiers at a military base no one would have paid any attention to them:(
I have no faith in any of our institutions. I wouldn’t be surprised if the government fabricated the entire story. Nothing would surprise me anymore. I find that I’m starting to think that everything I’m told by the government I should believe the opposite.

I don’t get it. Why is everyone falling all over themselves to make excuses for these jackasses? Are there any other aspiring cop-killers you’d all like to make excuses for?
We talk about liberals providing aid and comfort to terrorists, but I guess if the terrorists claim to be Christians, we’ll go to bat for them.
I don’t care if the organization was infiltrated and it was really the feds that suggested this course of action. Anyone who hears a suggestion to kill cops and doesn’t immediately say “get the hell out of here” deserves whatever happens to them. The fact that we don’t like this president doesn’t change any of that.
Yes, we should not be discouraged. The more people see what is really happening, the more chance the freaking Dems will be voted out of power for so long they lose their grip. And local good Repubs need to be elected. New blood, real conservatives need to invigorate the Rs, too many in DC and in states are part of the problem.
Fortunately the economic collapse will force fiscal conservativism and much bitter fruit should wither on the vine without the lifeblood of gov monies.

If that is true, it’s even more likely that the entire thing is tainted/staged.
There is no one here (unless someone is a troll) who says “so what if they planned to kill cops” - in fact dozens have expressed anger and disgust at that very thought.
What some here wonder is if this is really what they planned.
