They are currently discussing on Hannity that Kirk, a former Naval officer, is superb on national security issues and that he will promptly back-peddle on cap and trade. Kirk has already proven to be satisfactory in opposing Obamacare.

Sorry KevinDavis, you lose by “winning” with a candidate that is to the left of many card-carrying Democrats. Kirk is NOT a Scott Brown type “moderate”, he is an abortion-loving socialist. We can't afford any more Jeffords, Chafee, and Specter type “Republicans” in the Senate. I won't support Democrat sleeper cell Mark Kirk in general election.

The whole point is to get Reformists elected. Kirk and Alexi are one in the same. We campaign to get integrity and honesty back in government and not only do we NOT get that, we put up people that are all from the same corrupt machine that wink and nudge each other as if they’re actually REALLY running a legitimate contest between two separate parties. It is a total joke. This was fixed from the start. The Soviet Union had more honest elections than this. The people ought to be mad as hell.

He is Polish, so he'll get a surge when returns come in from Cook County, which will be late.
The top seven voting precincts are in northern Illinois. The top one is Chicago. If he's not leading now, he's not going to make it. Too bad. I voted for him.
And you wouldn't believe what I went through to cast a provisional ballot. After filling the provisional affidavit out some woman gave me the pink copy which was my receipt and then put the top copy into the provisional ballot envelope and told me that was all I had to do because it was a "straight ticket" and was about to seal it inside when I told her that I needed a ballot in order to choose which Republican I wanted for each of the offices. She said that was the ballot. I told her, no, that was the provisional voter affidavit. Finally, another woman, a Democrat election judge, found a stack of provisional ballots and gave me one. After voting she told me to put it inside the provisional ballot sleeve and seal it. I asked about the little slip of paper that was supposed to be printed out as the receipt of my ballot. She said, sitting in front of the machine, "Oh, that must be from this machine" and then tried to get it to work. Nothing printed. She said it must be that the roll of printer paper was jammed and pulled the seal off and got a key to open it up. After changing the roll before, they hadn't threaded the paper back through the slot. She couldn't get it through so I helped her by pulling 8 or 10 inches of the roll out and threading it through the slot. She tried it again and it printed.
If I had not earlier called the electoral commission downtown and talked to a very helpful woman named Mary who told me step by step what I had to ask for, do, make sure they gave me, it never would have gotten done.

Kirk is so far left that it leaves one wondering why in the hell he even bothers with the R by his name.Guess that begs the question to those who support him, is there ANY thing conservative about Kirk? Shouldn't be hard to get him to switch from R to D if Illinoisians send him to D.C.

No Republican has had this good of a chance to win a Senate race in Illinois since Peter Fitzgerald. There are similar parallels between the two races. Both are occurring in off-year elections with a well-funded Republican candidate running against a severely tainted Democratic candidate. The main difference is that Fitzgerald was a clean slate and political newcomer while Kirk is a well-known moderate Congressman.

I’d feel disappointment but conservatives and Tea Party particpants alike did not take this race seriously months ago when it would have mattered. Had they rallied early like they did to Rubio who knows?
Hannity just about shocked me though. He’s usually pro-Republican no matter what. Said we didn’t need anymore “RINO’s” citing Kirk as an example.

Sorry if he is wrong then I’m wrong.. So be it..

The real travesty in this case is the combined vote totals for the most conservative candidates for Governor will outweigh the top vote getter in the Governors race. Illinois is an example of what happens when we conservatives take our eyes off the ball.
