Geitner is getting badly bloodied and gutted in today's congressional hearing -- by members of both parties.
Never seen anything like it.
Several congressmen has gone as far to demand his resignation, during questioning. Others have shouted him down, going far outside their time limit. He has been absolutely berated left and right.
Almost feel sorry for the guy. He's become the poster child for a crisis a lot of people had a hand in, including the American electorate itself.

I hear TurboTax is hiring part-timers right now
Feel sorry for him? Not. If he were on fire I wouldn't p*** on him to put it out.
It will be hard for Obama to get this poop off his shoes! ;-)
What goes around comes around.
Kind of like watching Edie Haskell get the smackdown from Mr and Mrs Cleaver, eh? Long overdue

The congresscritters can’t poop on The One directly, so little Timmy makes a convenient alternate target. Just a shame that it isn’t Rahmbo or Axelrod in the hot seat.
Or so I've been told.
Limiting Republicans time to ask Timmy questions.
2 minutes?
Unreal!
Geithner has the brains of Lumpy.
Rats jumping ship like crazy today. Hot rhetoric: "Biggest theft in American history," etc.
The Rat chairman is trying to dismiss Geithner now so they can get to Paulsen, but the members are having a little mutiny because they want to ask more questions. They've just currently all been given an extra couple of minutes to grill Timmy.
We're starting to get to "What did you know about the cover-up and when did you know it?" Waiting for someone to ask him to name names.
Paulsen up for his grilling next.
Jack Wheeler and a chief of staff to a top Republican Senator says this guy will be the first to go.
why should he mind? there is poop IN his shoes...and it goes all the way up into his hat.....
I think they'd pass on Timmy, being a professed tax cheat and all...
Timmy will be lucky if he does not end up in jail. What our gov’t did with TARP and the stimulus bill is criminal and the more we hear about it the worse it sounds.
No accountability, no transparency, and too many pockets that got lined among those in the halls of power. Soros made a record profit and he is the most connected “outsider” there is.
This whole thing makes me sick. We postpone the inevitable correction and subsidized massive failure by trashing the future of our children and our currency. I hope against hope that the GOP wins the house in November so we can have truthful hearings to expose the swindle of the century.
While at the NY FedRB, Geithner *lied* about France’s position on AIG haircuts. The French were willing to discount the derivative payments that AIG owed to SocieteGeneral and BankofFrance, et al. (that’s called “taking a haircut” in banker lingo).
But Geithner lied, telling everyone at the Fed, Treasury, regulators, Congressmen, et al that France insisted on full payment.
So Shanghai-founded AIG got $182 Billion Dollars from the U.S. Taxpayer.
Geithner lied!
Of course, that’s partly because he opposes Obama’s assault on banks.
