18 states allow for recall votes on US Senators. The 18 states allowing for recall are as follows: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin.
The Senate oath of office is:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
It is clear that the mandate requiring citizens to purchase insurance from private corporations is unconstitutional. As soon as the Senate votes on the "health care" bill 60 Senators will be in violation of their oath of office.
Some of the Senators are up for reelection but some are not and those should face recall votes based upon their failure to fulfill their oath of office.
Congressman Billybob in post 21 pointed that out regarding the removal of a senator. We do need a way to make government afraid of the people again instead of the overlords of the people.
Not only vote them out by make sure the whole world knows they lost their election because they violated the constitution. Politicians are cravenly cowards at heart for the most part, so it shouldn't take too many voted out obviously based upon their violations of the oath of office before the rest begin to catch a clue.

Neither MI Senator will be the target of any kind of recall action, IMO. Stabusall may be vulnerable when her number comes up again, but Comrade Carl will be casting votes from his grave.
Exactly so. If a state has no recall provision start one anyway. The ripples will go in all directions.

The problem, though, is the 17th amendment. The five fascists on the SC will claim that states can’t recall senators, even though the laws are still on the books for state legislatures to recall senators.
We have more than enough ammo to impeach and remove the five fascists on the SC. The problem is that we need a constitutional congress willing to act. If citizens need to do the work that congress won’t, it will be a bloody, messy affair.
Anyone know where I can file the paperwork on them? Point me in a direction and lets get rolling.
While I don’t know the rules, California is on the list of states that car recall its senators. That doesn’t mean the rules aren’t prohibitive though.
Treason is cause for something, recall is not what comes to mind.
I do, but unfortunately we've got two ass-clowns in the Senate. Klobuchar is every bit as bad as the Senator-Select.

I think this is a good idea regardless of success/failure, and here's why. The Obama 2.1 eligibility issue has never been resolved. The basis for its rejection still rests on "because the court said so" rather than on any objective proof that he is a citizen. People are ticked, and rightfully so.
A movement to recall U.S. Senators on the basis of their dereliction of duty with regard to the document whose precepts they swore to uphold, and any ridicule such a movement might foster, would further fan the flames of discontent and perhaps, just maybe, keep the folks angry enough to press on until the larger problem of assault on the Constitution is ultimately dealt with.
You stand a good shot in Minnesota, as it is a Democrat state, to be sure, but one retaining a vestige of decency and traditional blue collar American values.

I’m new to posting here, so I hope this isn’t closed. I’ve read all of the posts concerning this and there’s a number of posts that talk about recall being pretty much an impossibility since the Senate would have to vote against their own. However, there is a method to create Ammendments to the Constitution that would allow for the recall of Senators and Representatives and that process is for a Constitutional Convention to be called by two-thirds of the legislatures of the States. No, it has never been done, but it is provided for in our Constitution and now is the time to invoke it.
That's a good point, although as you say, it hasn't been done before. I think I read somewhere that there was a push to convene a constitutional convention, although I don't think it was on this topic.

That would be the fastest route. Problem is, it seems like it's impossible to commit treason. Because if it were possible there would be plenty of trials. John Kerry, for instance, had meetings with representatives for the Vietnamese government while America was at war with Vietnam and he was still in the military. That is unequivocally treason...but instead of prison he was pushed forward to be president.
