Recall of US Senators who vote for Obamacare
Vanity ^ | 12/19/09 | me

18 states allow for recall votes on US Senators. The 18 states allowing for recall are as follows: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington and Wisconsin.

The Senate oath of office is:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

It is clear that the mandate requiring citizens to purchase insurance from private corporations is unconstitutional. As soon as the Senate votes on the "health care" bill 60 Senators will be in violation of their oath of office.

Some of the Senators are up for reelection but some are not and those should face recall votes based upon their failure to fulfill their oath of office.

Serious misinformation. A state constitution (which seems to provide for all elected leaders including US Senators) cannot violate the US Constitution, which provides for removal of Senators only under the rules of the Senate itself. Those currently require a 2/3rds vote to expel a Senator.

I would be available to wok for a recall. Get signatures, etc. I’m sure there would be plenty of other volunteers.

Grey Davis was a Governor. That's a state official. Senators are US officials, where the US Constitution rules. And that's the name of that tune.

No member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States.

This is an unprecedently unpopular and unnecessary piece of legislation. Also, the internet is a game changer.

The information is from the internet, but what you say sounds right to me. Although it sounds like a real catch 22 if the only avenue to remove senators is to let the senators do it themselves when most of them share the same corruption.

I’mready to go down there and yank them by the neck out into the streets of the USA and HANG the all!

Dam the legalities, this is what the Constitution says is OUR duty if we want to keep our Republic.

Sink or swim.

While eighteen states allow “recall”, the U.S. Senate does NOT recognize the legitimacy of these state laws. So Mary Landrieu and Ben Nelson are safe for life.

Ultimately, it is the fault of the American people who are too uninformed to remain free.

Cannot be legally done. The communists party (formally the Democratic Party) know this. Why are they so arrogant? Because they lean communistic and believe that the King Obama machine with the likes of ACORN and unions that they will not be thrown in 2010. Like the Franken case, they will fraudulently sway the election. And they might be right!

Interesting idea however I think they know it is unconstitutional and quite frankly that is the plan.

We pay taxes for years into a bogus system mandating we buy insurance from a private company meanwhile the legal battle rages on the constitutionality of it all...

Of course it will be ruled unconstitutional and the government will say...well all these people paid these “TAXES” and now we can’t let this fail it is too big. So we will drop the mandate to purchase from a private company and we will just have the government private the insurance...that is allowed...however would not get any public support.

The entire thing is a scam and this will lead to civil war once people figure out what the hell is going on here.

We are in the middle of a CO2mmunist takeover of our free country.

I disagree. With exception of the west coast cities, the rest, especially the eastern part, are conservatives.

okay, we use lawsuits to tie up this unconstitutional obamacare, we also start civil disobedience, and we start the recall process. just because it hasn’t been done before doesn’t mean it CAN’T be done. all the states that don’t have recall measures, we start putting them on ballots and let the people of the states vote for recall measures.

I always like to try to get even with my enemies.

It is not a good idea to get even with your enemies, it is best to get ahead of your enemies.

On the other hand what if just one Senator is able to be removed....... I feel if they thought that would happen none of this would be going on. They are not afraid of the people anymore. Although should an attempt be made to recall them, count me in. I lived in California during Gray Davis recall. Vote Them Out!

Makes you wish that the Seventeenth Amendment had never been passed, doesn't it.

That can be next after we repeal the Sixteenth.
