It would probably be a lot easier to just hang them for Treason. Less paperwork and man hours for a better outcome. That would be the fastest route. Problem is, it seems like it's impossible to commit treason. Because if it were possible there would be plenty of trials. John Kerry, for instance, had meetings with representatives for the Vietnamese government while America was at war with Vietnam and he was still in the military. That is unequivocally treason...but instead of prison he was pushed forward to be president.
