UNREAL. Obama May Allow US Soldiers to be Tried in the Hague

Unreal. Team Obama may allow US soldiers to be tried in the Hague for war crimes. The Wall Street Journal reported, via Jihad Watch:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed “great regret” in August that the U.S. is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This has fueled speculation that the Obama administration may reverse another Bush policy and sign up for what could lead to the trial of Americans for war crimes in The Hague.

The ICC’s chief prosecutor, though, has no intention of waiting for Washington to submit to the court’s authority. Luis Moreno Ocampo says he already has jurisdiction—at least with respect to Afghanistan.

Because Kabul in 2003 ratified the Rome Statute—the ICC’s founding treaty—all soldiers on Afghan territory, even those from nontreaty countries, fall under the ICC’s oversight, Mr. Ocampo told me. And the chief prosecutor says he is already conducting a “preliminary examination” into whether NATO troops, including American soldiers, fighting the Taliban may have to be put in the dock.

“We have to check if crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide have been committed in Afghanistan,” Mr. Ocampo told me. “There are serious allegations against the Taliban and al Qaeda and serious allegations about warlords, even against some who are connected with members of the government.” Taking up his inquiry of Allied soldiers, he added, “there are different reports about problems with bombings and there are also allegations about torture.”

It was clear who the targets of these particular inquiries are but the chief prosecutor shied away from spelling it out.

Asked repeatedly whether the examination of bombings and torture allegations refers to NATO and U.S. soldiers, Mr. Ocampo finally stated that “we are investigating whoever commits war crimes, including the group you mentioned.”

And any moron who thinks this would be happening if McCain had won is dumber than a 3 dollar bill. I didn’t like McCain but knew he would be different than Obama especially in these types of things.

Sorry - that's not what I meant. I did not like McCain either but of course he would never had done that.

My pont was that it would have been no change to the slow descent to communism we see since 30 years therefore we would have kept on sleeping.

Obama is so extreme in his hate of America and his will to dismantle our country that finally people are waking up. Because of his extreme acts.

That's what I meant.

After the elections, I had to stop crying and think: why did this happen? How could this happen in America? It took me a long time to react because I was devastated.

I am the type the glass is half full so one day I thought - may be God sent us a test, since we did not get the previous warnings because they were too soft.

When I say Obama was sent by God, I mean that we needed something really really scary and extreme to finally wake us up.

Sorry if I was not clear.

“Oh please! Pay attention! We will not have a country by 2013.”

We have maybe a year, maybe less.

I hope our military leaders would not take this laying down. They would be the ones that would be the targets of these trials, otherwise the “grunts” will likely just walk away from service.

If this turns out to be true and not some internet urban legend...then I fully endorse a civil rise like this country hasn’t seen before in modern times. I am talking we go with 3 million strong and take up space shutting down roads and all entrances and buildings in Washington, D.C.

I don’t give a f-ck how many cops or agents or whatever they have in D.C....they don’t have 3 million members and 3 million radios.

Obama and his posse have committed at least 500 felonies already. Possibly twice that amount.

EXACTLY MY POINT! If we could have a good team working seriously on all these felonies and act of treason, and of course one honest judge, we could get somewhere. We just report the felonies and acts of treason. We do NOT act on it..yet. Acorn, the census et al...all that should be going to the SCOTUS pronto instead of blogging about it.

Not that I trust them but still...worth the try.

“Look for recruit numbers to decline, and for reenlistment to dwindle. Of course, Obama will like that so he can institute his civilian police force. Wonder if they will be accountable to the Hague?”

Don`t ask silly questions.

The Nobma administration is full of mutants who hate the USA, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Also, the want to destroy capitalism, personal freedom and the pursuit of happiness. I don’t care what they or their weirdo supporters say, they need to be gone immediately. Since they won’t, I predict they will be “asked” to leave at some important juncture. Piss on them.

“We are fast approaching the ‘we don’t have nothing to lose point’.”

Well, correcting for grammar (I believe you meant to say “...we don’t have ANYTHING to lose....”), I agree with you.

I agree. But bear in mind that Obama and Holder don’t give a $HIT about the law. They are continuing to fund ACORN over the objection of the entire legislative branch. Here is the REAL problem...

WE ARE NO LONGER A FREE COUNTRY. WE ARE UNDER A DICTATORSHIP.

In Europe, when the farmers are upset ( they are upset when it rains, when it does not rain, when it's cold, when it's hot..) they, thousands of them, take they tricks, tractors, cars and BLOCK all the roads in teh country, go to the capital with their trucks and block the main cities - nobody can go to work anymore etc...it can last months..I've seen it.

Few days later they get the subsidies. HUGE subsidies.

We do NOT want money here. We just want a honest government who is on the side of the people and protect America. So that should work here if we ever have the guts to do that around Washington and the Capitol. Stop their access to work until they understand and prove it - that they work for us - not for them or our enemies!

That’s because we are not enough. If a court and a LOT of judges and people would do that, then Holder would be escorted out and the SCOTUS would HAVE to follow, like in Honduras. The Army would be asked by SCOTUS to apply the law. That’s how they outed the guy.

Shall I add you to the BDS Club list?

Why would I care? My beliefs are my own, you are free to believe whatever you choose to.

Bush one declared a New World Order, and sure enough we are about there.

I agree we should at least try. Try every legal and judicial remedy available to us. However, I see the thuggery in DC, and I figure an insurrection is inevitable. I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it.

I think some few people may have voter 3rd party or abstained, but even that was rare. I know I did.

I stated early on that I would not vote for McCain, because I lived in California, so my vote wouldn't really matter, and I fully intended to write in Hunter, but Palin joined the ticked and I voted for her.

By your posts you are apparently unaware of this little thing we do every 2 years, its called an election?

I have voted in every election since 1960 when you had to be 21 to vote, so don't presume to tell me about elections.

We have Zero chance to get 60 votes in the Senate which will be required to undo anything the current congress has bound us with, and there will be no relief in the courts.

We can hope that enough seats change hands in the house to cut off spending to fund some of the outrage, but I wouldn't give odds on that happening, if you factor in Acorn, and SEIU.

Take you condescending attitude and stuff it.

Federally, impeachment is possible but only if a law is broken.

How did that last impeachment vote turn out? And how many Republican Senators did we have?
