Creationists are ‘liars’?
CMI ^ | Tas Walker, Ph.D.

Creationists are ‘liars' (?): Geologist Donald Prothero doesn’t like the fact that we don’t agree with his ideas on evolution.

I love the attitude some evolutionists have toward professional, scientific debate. Because creationist scientists do not agree with their biased, subjective and unsubstantiated ideas they spit the dummy and call us liars.

The latest tirade from geologist Donald Prothero is in an opinion piece in NewScientist entitled ‘Evolution: What missing link?’1 I like that title.

His article was picked up by the Telegraph newspaper in the UK which reported, ‘Creationists “peddle lies about the fossil record”.’2

Lies? Are creationists really lying?

No!

It’s just that Prothero does not like the fact that we don’t agree with his ideas. It upsets him so much that he describes creationists in this way: ...

I knew as soon as you pulled out the pope your intention was to get someone on here to say, “The Pope is going to Hell.” you could seemingly discredit that person. All the moderates, so called, will say, “Oh my, you can’t blaspheme the pope!” No matter, what I said was the truth.

So not only THIS Pope is going to Hell, for accepting a scientific theory; but ALL Popes, because you disagree with their theology.

Thanks. All I needed to know. I'm done with you.

LOL! Have you ever read the Bible? Do you find it as objectionable as you find me? God sends people to Hell for disagreeing with His theology, not me.

Your assertion has proved true. Until I he/she, probably she, said, “Okay so you believe all popes are going to hell because they reject your idea of 6 days literal creation? All I needed to know. I’m done with you.”

Nothing is misclassified about Lucy, she is an australopithocine. But again if you rely upon creationist sources you will be misinformed; because creationists misrepresent science out of necessity.

Lucy has been totlaly discredited; yet Evo's still use it.

Yes I have read the Bible, do you similarly think the Pope has not read the Bible?

So do you also believe that Catholics go to hell unless they reject Catholic theology?

Must have been a long wait for ANY Christian to get into heaven if that was the case, seeings as how the majority of the Christian world was either Catholic or Byzantine Catholic for most of the history of Christianity.

The crux of most Creationist and zealots of any stripe is ‘You are going to HELL unless you agree with me.’

Nice to see you state such unequivocally.

The Cretarded think that Lucy has been “discredited” only because they rely upon creationist sources.

Creationist sources misrepresent science out of necessity.

Lucy was not misidentified or misclassified. Lucy is an australopithocine, an extensively studied archaic species from many different fossils.

But if you rely upon Cretarded sources you wouldn't be expected to know that. Creationist misrepresent science out of necessity.

Jesus said, *I am the way, the truth, the life. No man comes to the Father but through me.*

Salvation is through Christ alone and that comes across loud and clear from the entire NT.

If someone thinks that there’s another way to get to heaven, they’re wrong. If they trust any way but Christ, they’re not going.

It doesn’t matter who it is and what position or title they hold.

And you think that Catholics teach other than this?

What then would be your motivation for stating such unless you thought that they did?

Who here has proposed that any come to the Father except through Jesus the Christ?

As I said- he/She simply does not get it- doesn’t understand that it isnot ‘we’ who condemn people to eternity in hell for rejecting htesacrifice of Christ, but God who does so, accordign to His word (which he/she AM doesn’t accept as God’s actual word, but rather thinks is simply a collection of ‘good words to live by, written by men who ‘were religious’). You and I and anyone else that presents God’s word are seen as ‘religious zealots’ for beleiving God when God said the bible was HIS word. You, I and anyone else who beleives God’s word are, in them inds of folks like AM- Dirty rotten bible beleiving zealots’ who apparently ‘hate everyone who doesn’t beleive in God’s word’ lol- folks liek that, who put all their trust in their works to save them, will never ‘get it’ I’m afraid

You've shown nothing at all. You've made assertions without the smallest amount of support, you've told me you know more than I do because you've supposedly taken some courses, again without support, you've dismissed the source I cited as “Creationist” though she is anything but and certainly more qualified than you to speak on the subject of cladograms, and now you ask:

” What more do I need to show that that what you said was incorrect than that cladograms are ACTUALLY confirmed by DNA analysis?”

How about something besides just your unsupported “I know more than you” assertions?

So is this you weighing in on the ‘all Catholics go to Hell’ side? It is your studied opinion that all past Popes are burning in Hell, and the current one is destined for there because of his theology?

So you deny that cladograms are confirmed by DNA analysis?

You need me to actually show you a modern study on how cladograms are constructed using DNA analysis to contradict your ignorant assertion that they are both constructed and confirmed using only morphological features?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15930154?itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum&ordinalpos=3

One study of MANY THOUSANDS, that show that cladograms are NOT constructed and confirmed based entirely upon morphological features. They are constructed based upon a shared derived morphological feature, and CONFIRMED by DNA analysis.

But you have shown that you know nothing about the subject, and can only misrepresent the actual state of the science.

Creationists must misrepresent science out of necessity.

Uh? Nuh uh, that’s not what I said, uh, ah, I’ll tell you lafj lks. Don’t you realize this is exactly what liberals do? They’re wrong, so they set up straw men to put their opponent on the defensive. You do this because your epistemology is liberal media, entertainment, and education. Debate what I said.

Did I say this? ‘You are going to HELL unless you agree with me.’ No I did not. Not only does in not belong in quotes but doesn’t belong in the debate.

I’ve even presented quotes from the Bible, that having read it, you should have known it was in there. If this Pope doesn’t read the Bible he wouldn’t be the first. I’m not talking about, having read it, I’m talking about reading, everyday. You can’t take in all in in one reading.

Anyway, there isn’t a single one of you evo people in FR that doesn’t eventually do what you just did. It’s absurd, it’s laughable.

“I’m done with you.” If you really where done you wouldn’t have posted.

I’m glad you know church history so well. Maybe you’re not right about all of it. It could be the people who taught you didn’t want you know some of the stuff you don’t know.

Can evos not respond to something without misrepresenting the person they're responding to and turning it from a embarrassing topic to a personal attack to deflect attention away from the real issue?

No.

I don't know anything about this Pope's theology or any other Pope's theology.

All I know is that people without Christ go to hell, regardless of their religious affiliation or practices, because religious affiliation and practices aren't what saves the person.

It's only by throwing yourself on the mercy of the court, so to speak. One cannot ever be good enough or do enough works to earn forgiveness. It's a free gift, for the asking.

That wasn't in quotes “xxx” , it was in ‘xxx’ which means I was paraphrasing; moreover I wasn't characterizing it as just YOUR argument, but the crux of almost all zealotry ‘Agree with me or you are going to Hell’.

This Pope doesn't read the Bible? Laughably ignorant. Pope Benedict XVI is a renowned Biblical scholar.

Please let me know your revisionist history whereby throughout the history of Christianity the vast majority of Christians were not either Byzantine Catholic or Roman Catholic. That should be interesting.

I expect your knowledge of history is about on par with your knowledge of Catholic theology and science; i.e. negligible.

That’s right. I’m not a Calvinist but I don’t believe we’re even good enough to see our plight and it’s only by free grace through the Spirit’s leading we have the wits to through ourselves at the mercy of the court. That’s one thing the scoffers don’t realize. I don’t have any right, ability, wisdom, or standing to tell people to live by my theology. It was sending me to Hell and would send them to Hell. I received a gift I didn’t deserve, now that I know that, I want them to know.

Their push back can be vicious sometimes and is always worse in anonymity of the internet. Most of the time when I knock on people’s doors, they politely nod and use body language to tell me to get lost, sometimes they just say, “not interested.” When those people get on the internet they can let me have it. It’s hard to come to the realization of what we are and the doctrine of evolution shields them for it. That’s why I believe people who hold that doctrine do so in order to never repent.

Mutually exclusive doctrines.

If you consider people Christians based on church membership you’ve missed the point big time.

Christians are followers of CHRIST, not a denomination.

Can you ever NOT avoid a question metmom?

You stated that Catholics teach that there are OTHER ways to the Father than through Jesus the Christ.

You posted this in support of the argument that all Popes are going to hell for their theology.

I did not misrepresent what you said, I asked follow up questions that you have FAILED to answer. When I state something with a question mark at the end it couldn't possibly be a misrepresentation of your position, it is a request of additional information ABOUT your position.

So IS this you weighing in on the “all Catholics go the Hell’ side?

One could certainly presume that was your position as you stated, without support I might add, that Catholic theology rejected one of the primary tenants of Christianity; that Jesus the Christ died for our sins and that only by asking for forgiveness in his name will one attain grace.

So are you going to answer the question or support your assertion, or play the poor put upon victim YET AGAIN?
