Many units in the U.S. Army have coins. These coins probably came into common use sometime in the 1970’s or 1980’s, and were generally given out by the unit commander as a sort of “on the spot” award for performance or as gifts to visitors to the unit. In addition to the more standard “Commander’s Coin”, there were sometimes Command Sergeant Major’s coins. Another subset were coins commemorating specific events such as Operation Desert Storm.
would be interested to see if she goes to Asia , there is no reason for her to do so but well see.

There is not a doubt in my mind that she will go. Are you kidding me? She is a HUGE attention whore. A chance for a free trip, shop, show off her new ugly dresses she bought for the trip? Oh, she will go and I bet grandma goes and the cousins and anyone else she can drag along for trips they could never afford if we didn’t pay for them. They disgust me.
I disagree.
BS BS and more BS.
Oh my! That meeting with President Bush was such an honor and I bet he felt more honored than you and your family! Thank you for sharing that wonderful moment!
It was a terrorist attack not a tragedy as the media and ZERO are trying to portray.
Perhaps if it’s the Troops you were focusing on, then your posts should have reflected that fact. Instead, you focused on the speech ‘O’ delivered and how you were pleased.

sorry about the double post. i hit ‘cancel’ too late in my attempt to edit the first post.
Very charitable Mrs. t. I cannot be charitable to Obama today because he created the climate in which the Muslim was pushed through the ranks, educated at great cost and became a major even though there were flags red enough to start a bonfire to warm against letting this man near our military.
And even now, he refuses to acknowledge or concern himself with the Muslim ties and the violence and hate of this so-called religion.
I guess he had to come but his presence was an affront to the ceremony.
we have the same feelings on this believe me
The freeloaders will be over there on another free vacation on our dime
makes me puke, maybe that is why she is pissed off because she feels she should be going to Asia right now but cannot for another day
At least he didn’t put a DVD of his best speeches on the site.
President and Mrs Bush have too much class to intrude on a sitting President’s opportunity to provide care and solace to the victim’s families. I will bet, however, he and Laura will send personal notes of condolences to the families privately, outside the crush of the media. Which one do you think the families will cherish more?
I agree with you completely, altura.
As to my ‘charitable’ comment about the coin though, it was to support DallasSun in her explanation of the coin being offered by any president.
yes, indeed.
Unaccustumed as I am to defended Michelle and I do not like her, but I think she was appropriately dressed today and looked nice except for the expression which is all she seems to have.
I meant that Pres Bush was POTUS right now...
yes I know they would have only come if they were invited...
They came right away last week when it mattered because they love the troops...
Barry didnt bother to come until today...
I was not taking you to task. I, too wish GWB was POTUS. Although I didn’t always agree with his policies, as a MAN, there was no BS. He is truly a caring, compassionate, human being who feels the pain of every soldier who was lost or injured during his term.
I know this because I was privileged to have served on a local LE detail when he was POTUS. He took the time to personally thank each one of us as he was walking the tarmac to AF1. I feel lucky because I served on the details that served GHWB and GWB. They are both men of honor.
That is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
We all deal with grief and anger in our own ways now don't we...
My daughter brought some back from her Navy deployment and it was a drinking game — if you didn’t have them on you, you had to buy.
