In other news, Idi Amin is still dead.
Neither would a surface-to-air missile. With the borders we have open, one shudders to think of how many shoulder fired SAMS have made it across the border, just waiting to be used.
The USSR has an abundance of these:
On the top a SA-18 (Igla) missile, launch tube and grip stick. Below is a SA-16 (Igla-1) missile and launch tube.
Isn’t the center fuel tank supposed to blow up first?
There was a ping on one of the earlier threads from this summer, this is a June article (posted today).
There have been several incidents in the area (2 that were months apart) but this is not a third incident.
Here, ask him yourself:
President George W. Bush, Zig Ziglar, Mayor Rudy Giuiani in-person at business seminar in Ft Worth.

It’s clear that the most recent Osama tape had a lot of “wake up” messages in it.
America has been very blessed not to have been attacked in the last month.
I built a Big Bertha when I was younger...............
This is not the type of rocket that could be built by your average hobbyist.

12,000 feet for an amateur rocket is not at all out of bounds. Of course, we’re not talking an Estes rocket. I was at the Great Lakes Centennial Jamboree this last weekend for the Scouts at the EAA airfield at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. There was a amateur rocketry group there that had rockets that can get up to 12,000 feet or more. These things are 6 to 8 feet tall and 6” in diameter. They have to get clearance from the FAA to hold an event.
Go, rocket boys.
Yes it has happened at least twice before and brushed under the rug. Hard to keep denying I guess.
???
Agree. Also, let's blame Bush because the plane took off from Bush airport. Yeah. Huh?
Seriously, I can't stand what W did on border security, but let's not jump on the blame Bush bandwagon with 0 in the WH.
Let me fix that fer ye.
We don’t know anything yet, because our investigation is just beginning and could take 2 years, by which time everyone will forget about it. But one thing we are sure of, even though we’re 2 years away from knowing anything, is that it wasn’t terrorism. Nope, definitely not.

Why is something that HAPPENED IN JUNE being posted again?
You'll even see a white rocket with triangular fins being prepped for flight - with a Texas flag nearby. These are not little Estes toys, but it's simply a larger scale - everything else works the same. If you can build a three-foot tall rocket that flies, you can build a ten-foot rocket.
