I got back to work and missed this part of his program... I’ll be tuning in tonight on his website to hear the caller. Rush knows what makes compelling radio and he is a master at the craft.

Can’t wait to hear this lady this evening.

I doubt very much that Susan is a professional, serial radio show caller. She is certainly not a professional public speaker or radio host. I imagine it took a good deal of courage to call Rush's show and then go on the air knowing that 20 million people would hear her words. I think it was especially hard for her because she is frightened and upset and angry all at once, and I, for one, judged those emotions to be genuine.

Speaking as she did would have been difficult for me, because I feel much as she does, and I'm quite used to speaking before audiences, large and small. A cri du coeur is not always easy to listen to, but each ought to be judged by its earnestness as well as the truth of its words. If that is indeed the proper standard, I think she passed the test.

I travel a lot for my work and have been changing the channel in the hotel lobby to FOX News.

Sooo....everyone should do the same in any public gathering place with a TV....get the management to change to FOX, why should we have to always be forced to watch CNN.

I did it once in a hospital waiting room and saw numerous people paying attention and probably hearing the other side for the first time in their lives.

I wouldn’t argue with any of that. Your comments are logical and reasoned. Certain appeals touch me, and others don’t sometimes bases on the method of delivery. I’m not saying that’s right, but it’s true.

If Susan could say so much without notes or a teleprompter, just imagine the ideas and thoughts she could convey WITH such notes. This lady is lawyer, so we know she is well educated, just as much so as Ozero. So I’m thinking that I want to know more about her and whether she would consider a run for congress.

I’m a 25 year old male and I must admit that it got a little “dusty” in my car when she was on. She displayed more passion in 15 minutes than the entire republican party has in the last year, save Sarah Palin.

Susan, please keep on preaching.

I’ll be honest, I don’t care for the demeanor of the call. I just won’t like to hear someone frantically relating their thoughts even if I agree with them. I tuned her out for the most part, when listening with the show. She did hit the important points, and I’m sure there were lots of women out there listening that this really touched.

There's the head and there's the heart. She displayed both.

Testimonies that combine them are the most potent.

That’s fair enough. The funny thing about it though, is that an appeal such as hers would normally not reach me, as I greatly tend to prefer appeals to reason than those made to emotion. And yet she reached me, perhaps because through her quavering voice I heard the truth. Patrick Henry was a man once said to have a similar quality - emotionally overwrought, but with a powerful belief at the core of the man that compelled even cynics to listen.

I’m with you. I happened to turn her on as she was going into the ass kissing for her children’s healthcare thing, and repeating herself.

For a moment I wondered if Rush was really a conservative trying to help, because it seemed he was only letting her flail.

I’m ready and willing to move on to the next phase of this revolution, but as I always see the choices I have in life, I hope to never feel so bereft that I ramble aimlessly about my current situation as she did.

I’m a conservative, I’ve listened to you for 25 years. I’m married, I have seven kids, and when you were telling me about how... all of the shenanigans that they’re going to do... in the Senate, to pass two different Senate bills then slam ‘em together, attach them to some house bill about TARP and then jam it through and jam it down our throats I got furious, and then I listened to what you said about the Michigan mom who was watching some kids before they went to school and how the Michigan state came down on her accusing her of running an illegal day care and you’re... you’re right, what they’re going to do is they’re going to threaten our health and they’re going to threaten the health of our our children if I don’t comply with their health care I’m not going to be able to get my children the medicine they need...

and they’re taking it without listening, without representing us, like you said, the small “r.” I’m not being represented. I’ve called Boxer’s office, I’ve called Adam Schiff, who’s my so-called representative. They are very polite, the little people on the phone but the people who are running this country, don’t listen to us, there are millions of us and we’re all furious. And no one, no one is even reporting what is being said, and I’m watching the country that I love, that my father fought for in WWII, that my father-in-law, was wounded and got the purple heart for and I’m watching it just.. just... being taken, just like candy from a baby, oh we’ll help you, we’ll give you health care... here’s a lolly pop, go away.

that’s dirty politics, and it shouldn’t be happening. It should be up-and-down vote. And you’re right, the 63 new judges coming on, they’re going to... that’s going to cement, that’s going to absolutely cement their ability to write law, instead of legislate, they can just send it to the judges. The judges will rubber-stamp it.

We’ll just write the law... never mind conservatism, never mind reading what the law actually says. And I look at this, I see this happening every day, I listen to you, and I’m to the point where I don’t even know if I should listen any more, cause it... it... it... I’m so passionate and I’m so furious to watch all this, to hear it all happening, and I feel so powerless for the first time in my life.

I’m glad Mrs. Obama is proud of her country for the first time in her life. I as a mother, as a nobody, I am ashamed of my government, for the first time in my life. And I need to know, how to combat this, especially in 2010, what can I do today, NOW, to help, to revitialize these... these namby-pamby liberal-conservative RINOs in our Senate, and in our government, who are just voting to get along and... (imitates) “I want to get re-elected.” That’s nonsense. They’re not standing up for what’s good and clean and right. They’re not standing up for our Constitution. They should be all thrown out, every last one of ‘em. And I don’t know how to mobilize people, but you do Rush, you do, you have the power, and with... with great gifts, God gives great responsibility, and I beg you, please, please, give us hope, and lead us... because this cannot stand, they cannot keep doing this... this is wrong.
