I wouldn’t argue with any of that. Your comments are logical and reasoned. Certain appeals touch me, and others don’t sometimes bases on the method of delivery. I’m not saying that’s right, but it’s true.
That’s fair enough. The funny thing about it though, is that an appeal such as hers would normally not reach me, as I greatly tend to prefer appeals to reason than those made to emotion. And yet she reached me, perhaps because through her quavering voice I heard the truth. Patrick Henry was a man once said to have a similar quality - emotionally overwrought, but with a powerful belief at the core of the man that compelled even cynics to listen.
