This is not the first time I have heard a caller who was obviously speaking with emotion, from the heart, allowed however much time necessary to get it all out — Rush has done this before, he will do it again.

Living in Glendale, California myself, I’m wondering who Susan is...

Except for the seven kids part, I could have started to guess Susan Carpenter McMillan (remember her - former conservative TV commentator)....she was my classmate at Glendale High Skoo.

Rush let Susan continue uninterrupted because, as he said, he is a “trained broadcast professional”, and I thought he was about to add that it is not his practice to spit rude interruptions at people every five seconds the way, for example, Chris Matthews does. Congratulations to Susan, and congratulations to Rush. Great job.

I couldn't believe Rush let her go on and on repeating herself as she did. I had a 2:30 appointment so I had to turn it off before Rush got rid of her. (He did get rid of her, didn't he? Or he going to continue with her at noon tomorrow?) Remember when Rush used to believe that brevity was the soul of wit?

You should have stayed. He held her over and then she continued.

It was an awesome piece. A transcript would never do it justice......it was the passion and rage in her voice that made it so unforgettable..

He knew she was speaking for millions, and a whole lot of us were out there listening in awe, crying a bit, thanking her, and saying AMEN!!
