Purported non Muslim Barack Hussein Obama made a presidential appointment of Muslim Los Angeles Deputy Mayor Arif Alikhan for a top job at the federal Department of Homeland Security. In his new job, Arif Alikhan will be Assistant Secretary for the Office of Policy Development at the Department of Homeland Security. Alikhan has been Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles--in charge of public safety for the city.
Why Muslim Alikhan at the Department of Homeland Security you might ask? DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano said Alikhan’s “broad and impressive array of experience in national security, emergency preparedness, and counterterrorism will make him an asset”--yes, but on behalf of the U.S. or Muslims? Alikhan says a big part of his job will be fostering communication between agencies. Alikhan, like Obama, also wants to help improve America’s image with Muslims around the world. He will now set policy on security at the highest levels of the federal government. But what policies has the new Assistant Secretary embraced?
During his years in Los Angeles, Alikhan was responsible for derailing the Police Department’s plan to monitor activities within the Los Angeles Muslim community, where numerous radical mosques and madrassas existed, and where some of the 9/11 hijackers had received support from local residents.
Alikhan is strongly anti-Israel; he has referred to the terrorist organization Hezbollah as a “liberation movement.” Hezbollah is on the U.S. official terrorist list while being an affiliate of the Muslim Public Affairs Council. Alikhan also opposed President George W. Bush’s prosecution of the war on Islamic terror.
In 2007, Alikhan was instrumental in removing the Muslim terror tracking plan in Los Angeles. The Muslim '‘Mapping’' Plan of the Los Angeles Police Department is now “dead on arrival” according to Chief William Bratton. “It is over and not just put on the side,” said Chief Bratton in a meeting with the Muslim leadership of Southern California at that time. The meeting was moderated by Arif Alikhan.
Chief Bratton acknowledged the hurt and offense caused to Muslims and agreed to send a letter to the Muslim community announcing the official termination of the ‘'mapping’' plan.
A major reason for the termination of the '‘mapping’' plan was the Muslim community’s vociferous opposition and active civic engagement in making themselves heard beyond Los Angeles. Muslim organizations demonstrated a strong unity of purpose and message on the issue of ‘'mapping’' that led to a position of strength for Muslims in the meeting. Those involved in the initial phases of this controversy were the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California http://www.shuracouncil.org/ and the Council on American-Islamic Relations http://www.cair.com/ , the Muslim Public Affairs arm.

Other speakers included Professor Agha Saeed of the American Muslim Task Force (AMT) who spoke about “the struggle of the Muslim Community against the pervasive atmosphere of Islamophobia and hatred in the aftermath of 9/11. It was a struggle against the tide--a very strong tide--to prevent Muslims in America from being marginalized and silenced.”
Professor Saeed issued five demands from Muslims to the Department of Justice. These demands included a cessation to the infiltration by spies of mosques and an end to the introduction of agents provocateur. In addition there was to be a cessation of attempts to undermine Muslim groups such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Taitz and her cases get a lot of attention on the conservative Internet dn in the new media. Berg has gotten a lot of attention also because he was early in the game. Both have had webites from the beginning of the eligibility law suits. Appuzzo and Donofrio have far better webites, fewer cases and headlines and far more thorough scholarship.
Hemenway was entered into the Hollister case which Berg claims as his but really, as it turns out, was conceived of by Lawrence Joyce.
The principle of the Hollister case, the use of Interpleader, is well conceived, simpler to comprehend and likely to result in other such lawsuits around the country. Standing is far less of a problem in such suits and there is no issue of mootness. There are other reasons that the Hollister case, now on appeal, is a better bet than some of ht other suits.
If no websites or places such as FSM or WND bring it up to date as far as conservative Internet coverage, I’ll look into doing something. There have been recent filings.
John Hemenway has the experience in leadership and, as a long time conservative who is both a military and cold war veteran and helped found groups such as AIM, the character to become a ledder and create a good central point of communication that can be trusted to move the growing

Attorney to terrorists organizes Muslim rally at Capitol
Hassan Abdellah briefs his helpers Wednesday at Dar Ul-Islam, a mosque in Elizabeth, about the Jummah Prayer on Capital Hill, A Day of Islamic Unity . Abdellah and the Al-Slam are spearheading the national prayer service.
A lawyer with a history of representing Islamic terrorists, including men connected to the 1993 and 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, is one of the chief organizers of a large Muslim prayer service intended as a show of American patriotism Friday at the Capitol.
Hassen Abdellah is president of Dar-ul-Islam, the mosque in Elizabeth, N.J., that is organizing the event. He said the mosque began organizing the gathering, called "Jummah Prayer on Capitol Hill: A Day of Islamic Unity," several months ago to convey to Muslims around the world the freedoms enjoyed by their American confreres.
The event has inspired enough rumors to warrant an entry on factcheck.org and a competing event on Friday at the Rayburn House Office Building sponsored by a group called Stop Islamization of America.
Several Islamic groups have distanced themselves from the event. The Islamic Society of America (ISNA) and the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) say they will not be participating.
Imam Johari Abdul-Malik of Dar Al Hijrah in Falls Church, the area's largest mosque, said he is attending but there will be no representatives from the All Dulles Area Muslim Society in Sterling, one of the region's largest mosques.
Mr. Abdellah, as a lawyer, represented several terrorists. He was part of a legal team that represented Mahmoud Abouhalima, who was charged in the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993, and also represented Faruq Brent, a Baltimore cabdriver who pleaded guilty in April 2007 to providing material support for Lashkar-e-Taiba, a terrorist group.
He was briefly the attorney for Mohamed el-Atriss, who was convicted of selling fake IDs to two Sept. 11 hijackers, and represented Numan Maflahi, a New Jersey gas station owner who was convicted in 2004 of making false statements to federal agents.
Mr. Abdellah defended his record, saying his detractors have not mentioned that he was a prosecutor for Union County, N.J., from 1983 to 1989, just after graduating from Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey."I represent all kinds of people; that is what lawyers do," he said. "We protect the Constitution by representing the rights of people who no one else wants to deal with."
"We want to show the rest of the world that as Muslims, we don't have restrictions in terms of our religious practice," Mr. Abdellah said. "And Americans have been asking for the Muslims - who love this country - to step up and step forward and renounce the conflict that has taken place."
The stated goal on the event's Web site is to "manifest Islam's majestic spiritual principles" in chants that will "echo off the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill."

Spencer also pointed out Abdellah represented Mahmud Faruq Brent, a Muslim cabdriver in Baltimore who pled guilty in April 2007 to attending a jihad terrorist training camp in Pakistan and conspiring to provide material support to the Lashkar-e-Taiba foreign terrorist organization.
