Beer could stop bones going brittle
Drinking beer regularly could stop bones from going brittle, according to scientists in Spain.
A study found that the bones of women who drink beer regularly are stronger, making them less likely to suffer from osteoporosis.
It is thought that the high level of silicon in beer slows down the thinning that leads to fractures and boosts the formation of new bone, the journal Nutrition reports.
Beer is also rich in phytoestrogens, plant versions of oestrogen, which keep bones healthy.
Bones are made up of a mesh of fibres, minerals, blood vessels and marrow, and healthy ones are denser with smaller spaces between the different parts.
The researchers asked almost 1,700 healthy women with an average age of 48 about their drinking habits. They then underwent ultrasound scans of their hands, which showed the bones belonging to beer drinkers to be denser.

How are you going to do that cricket-y sound at the beginning? By calling it a "version", we may omit or add what we please.
Need to add some talent, you ask me!!!
To: humblegunner
I could probably make that noise.
I can do animal noises.

I can taste malt under no-matter-what flavors, and I don’t like it. When they changed “wine coolers” into beery-thingies, I spotted it instantly and made them take it back and give me a Diet Coke!
I drink wine with 7-up when other people are drinking beer, like sitting about the lake house on the afternoon of Labor Day.
Cheers!

Good Luck!!! with middle school. Elen has been saying she’d like to go to middle school with her friends - at the same time as she says it’s so unfair that she has to do schoolwork after lunch some days!
The schools in Union County started two weeks ago, so I did too, and now we’re on vacation. We’ve rented a house for a week (arrived on Saturday) and are hanging out at the lake with lots more space than we have at home.
Today we’ve had to be indoors most of the day because the girls and the little boys got drastic sunburns yesterday. They can all go out in about an hour. I’ll feed Frank when he wakes up from his nap, and then I can go kayaking. Can I kayak in a dress, you think?

So that I can watch Sally Field’s commercials for Boniva.
Bisphosphonates (the active ingredient in Boniva)do not produce strong healthy bones. They create old brittle bones that do not heal well, if at all. If Sally Field does indeed take Boniva, I hope she doesn’t break a bone some day. If beer will do the job drink that.

I know a woman who has been drinking beer in excess for decades. She has a bone mass 1/2 that of a normal women her age. If beer drinking has helped her bones then Obama has lessened the effects of the recession.Your bogus study and anecdotal evidence is about as valid as their bogus study. If this study was true than you could hit me across the legs with a pipe and my legs wouldn't break.
Beer, for lack of a better word...is good.
