Absolutely. Unless she took off and went to Kenya -- the idea that started this whole thread. But, if you go to this link A chronological life story of Barack Obama this web author makes a powerful argument that Frank Marshall Davis is the real father and that the Dunhams slipped cash to Barack Obama to take the heat for the pregnancy. We know that BO was always in need of $$$ and we also know that FMD was a friend of Stanley Dunham -- in fact he frequented the Communist Party HQ which was very near the furniture store where Papa Dunham worked. Davis and Dunham were drinking buddies. It isn't a far reach to imagine that Davis would have been one of the first people that Papa Dunham introduced to his wife and daughter when they arrive on the island since they wouldn't know very many people at that time.
It appears that Papa Dunham went to Hawaii ahead of the women, as they were waiting for Ann to graduate from Mercer High. Being alone in Hawaii would mean that Dunham had a lot of time on his hands to seek out the characters that he always sought. His curiosity might well have led him to the Communist Party HQs where he encountered poet Davis.
Ann, who had never had a boyfriend, but who was intrigued by counter cultural ideas, would have been fascinated by FMD. FMD was married at the time and wrote a pornographic book under a pseudonym which told the tale of seducing and sexually educating -- with his wife -- an innocent under aged girl named Ann! In fact awakening her to the point that she ASKED to be secuded. And then he goes to great lengths describing all of the techniques they taught her and congratulates himself on giving her a great sexual education that would benefit her the rest of her life.
Does this scenario sound familiar? Of course, FMD hides the identity by writing under an assumed name, by claiming that this was a work of "fiction", that the girl was "13", and that her name was "Anne".

FMD had already served time for rape. He was being watched closely by the FBI. He'd go to jail if he were exposed as the impregnator of a 17 year old, unmarried girl. In fact, that was the common slang for a girl like Stanley Ann in those years -- jail bait. It's not a far stretch to think of Stanley Dunham trying to help his buddy out by providing a cover. And then later promoting a friendship between his grandson and his drinking buddy -- father figure, or true father?
Well, I don't know if I believe all that, but it makes sense on one level.

The reasons are as varied as the persons involved. George Washington for superb reasons decried party politics as the ruination of a democracy being familiar with the partisan politics of the rioters in ancient Byzantium (Late Roman Empire). Some people develop a life long, unreasoning, and irrational attachment and loyalty to a political party in total disregard of reality and real world events. Others are motivated a a myriad of their own special interests in complete disregard of the consequences to others and their own families and persons.
Communism and socialism has very deep roots in America, and there has been a long and sustained effort to gain control of America’s key social and political institutions, while most Americans have remained oblivious to their takeover.
The maternal grandfather is reported to have been a target of an FBI invesigation during WWII regarding his Communist affiliations and stolen secret blueprints of the B-29 Boeing Superfortress strategic bomber. The mother likewise sought to establish connections to Communism with her class in Russian, relationships with Barack Hussein Obama Sr., and Frank Marshall Davis. Barack Hussein Obama Jr. continued this generations long acquaintance with communists and socialists throughout his entire life with his mother, grandfather, Frank Marshall Davis, fellow students and Marxists at Occidental College, mentoring by Saul Alinsky’s organization, contract with a socialist-Marxist political chapter in Chicago for his Illinois state senator candidacy, and current extensive appointments of socialists and Communists in his current Administration.
Consequently, those people who have been oblivious to these decades long struggles are now surprised and bewildered by the sheer vehemance and overbearing arrogance of the final and impatient seizure of American society by the coalition of determined socialists-communists.
Given the concerted effort by several of American society’s subverted Estates to use disinformation, pettifoggery, strawmen, and red herrings to further confuse an American Public already generally ignorant and misinformed about their history and laws, it can hardly be surprising that their understanding and response is accordingly confused and misdirected. Add to it the general disrespect and disregard for the Constitution and citizenship laws, and you find an atmosphere tailor made for abuse by a determined domestic enemy of the Constitution. Birth Certificate Fraud is Seldom Prosecuted
Virtually all of the Federal and State agency staff we talked with indicate birth certificate fraud is seldom prosecuted unless it can be linked to large dollar losses or other punishable crimes. Most staff also indicate that many prosecutors are reluctant, or refuse to take birth certificate fraud cases in which the only charge is attempting to obtain another individual’s birth certificate, or counterfeiting or altering a birth certificate. At the same time, misconceptions exist surrounding the security and integrity of birth certificates.
This is perhaps a good Thread to put this list out to FReepers of names I have come across who were in someway associate with Barry/Barrack during his college years. I collected these names from reading articles on the web the past several months about BO.
Perhaps someone will be able to do some research on these names and come up with something new.

I should add that Stanley Ann graduated from Mercer Island HS at the end of June 1960. No boyfiends, refused to baby sit for extra money in HS, didn’t like kids, didn’t want to marry, just wanted a good education. She arrives in Hawaii in mid summer not knowing anyone except her parents. Daddy already knows FMC — a true chracter. Ann had spent her Senior Year hanging out in coffee houses in Seattle, so FMD must have seemed familiar — somewhat like the poets she met in Seattle. Except that FMD was black, a Communist, and had served jail time. He would have seemed very sophisticated and exciting. And his allure was softened by the fact that he had a white wife, thus removing some of the “danger” from his persona.
She enters UH at the end of September. She meets another black man — a true African — BO Sr in Russian class. She’s pregnant by the end of October.
Perhaps BO isn’t the father and just needs money that Anns parents can provide to save her “reputation”. Perhaps BO doesn’t even KNOW he isn’t the father.
June 1960 — graduates Mercer Is, doesn’t like boys, never dates
July — arrives in Hawaii knowing no one except her parents
September — enrolls in a class with Barack Obama
October — finds herself pregnant
November — disappears and doessn’t reappear until August 1961 with baby
And in the middle of the summer she’s getting to know her way around Honolulu. Later Frank Marshall Davis writes a pornographic novel about a black man and his white wife seducing an underage girl to provide her with an exciting sexual education. Truth, or fiction?
She’s never mentioned among Obama’s friends as being a regular at the parties where he is a regular. Only Abercrombie seems to remember her at all, and he has political reasons to say so now. Obama never mentions her, or the baby. Obama never asks about her.

Another nagging question: where did the Dunhams get the money to move to Hawaii? This would have been a costly move. So it’s not only “why?” but also “how?” What kind of trouble might Stanley or Stanley Ann have been in, and who might have bankrolled them?

Yes. I heard about Gibbs’ crack about DNA testing this morning. There is a Video posted either on this thread, or on another on FR.
As I remember someone asked about the Birth Certificate at the White House Briefing Room and Gibbs said something to the effect, “Well even if I had DNA proof they...(wouldn’t believe him)”
It seemed stupid because DNA would prove NOTHING about where he was born. But Gibbs then went on to something else.

That is a good question. And you’re right — it would have been very costly. It hardly seems likely that a Furniture Store would foot the bill.
But, I do know this: the Communist Party did things like that — finance their people into the places they needed to be. I lived in Berkeley from 1956 until 1968 — first as a student and then as a mother/housewife. There was a neighborhod near me surrounding Oxford Elementary school that was notorious for having a lot of Communists. Everybody said the the CPUSA bankrolled them into their houses. It is true that they did not seem to have the means to get into those houses. In my own neighborhood a rather famous Commie moved in just as I was moving away because I could no longer stand Berkeley and didn’t not want my children growing up there. I heard from my realtor that he had been present when this man came looking for a house. He had no money and had no idea what a “down payment” was (you needed 20% down in Berkeley at the time — no cheap deals, except in the suburbs). When it was explained to him that he would have to come up with 20% cash, he said he didn’t have it and went away. But he came back the very next week with the money. And guess what — the local CPUSA organizer gave him a “Welcome to the Neighborhood” party when he moved in. It was the talk of the real estate people at the time.
This happened in 1968. You would know this man’s name, but I won’t post it on the open Board. He’s had the lives of all Americans in his hands.

I myself heard Obama say that he was born in Hawaii. He stated that around the time he took office. He didn’t convince me.
Well, if you saw it happen in 1968, it most certainly could have been happening in 1960.
I have to wonder if, for some reason, papa Stanley needed to get out of Washington.
Did they buy or rent the residence in Honolulu?
All I know about this is that there are secondary personal documents concerning Obama, i. e., other than birth records, which state his POB as Honolulu, HI. One of these would be his Illinois law license application.
A standard reference book, "The Almanac of American Politics," contains biographical data of every US senator and congressman in the country. Since Obama was elected to the US Senate, his entry has shown Honolulu, HI to be his POB. I wouldn't know how the publishers obtain that data; I'd presume they ask the staffers, who get the info from the senator or congressman himself to pass along to the publisher.
But perhaps the best piece of evidence that Obama said he was born in Hawaii, comes from newspapers stories trumpeting his selection as editor of the Harvard Law Review. Some of these specifically state he was born in Hawaii. (I believe there may be a New York Times article explicitly stating that.) Since the writers of these articles obviously did personal interviews with Obama for these stories, one can intuit that the source for the place of birth information was, in all likelihood, Obama himself.
Of course, that may be overblown too. They moved to Honolulu in 1960 and it was already very expensive there. By 1970 the Japanese had taken over, and there was a lot of resentment from the native Hawaiians. They'd bought up all the gbig hotels and had replaced the native Hawaiian staff with Japanese staff. I took my family there at about that time and was "told off" in a rather quiet manner by a tour guide we hired to drive us out to the Polynesian Cultural Center because we were staying at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. The guide informed us in no uncertain terms that we were staying in a JAPANESE hotel which was sucking the life blood out ot the Hawaiians.
