AUSTIN, Texas Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!"
After what happened between 1861-65, no state will be allowed to secede again. Besides, Texas still produces a lot of oil and I don't believe that Mr. 0bama is going to forego that needed resource to help pay for his grandiose plans.
Ah, but remember, he hates American oil. So he’ll be happy to see us go, the better to usher in his green future.
I’d miss snow, too
____________
I would never miss snow. It’s heaven to never have to put on a heavy coat, boots, gloves, worry about hypothermia if the you have no heat or car breaks down. Perfection is when the temp never reaches freezing.
If they did secede, we would probably move there.
I like it cool but not cold.
though Hot and sticky to me is worse than cold....I can put on more clothes but you can only take off everything and still be sweaty.
You forgot the Scorpions
and you....
...have long term friendships with terrorists, communists, criminals and American hating preachers...
...hate the Constitution, liberty, freedom and capitalism...
....you have no experience and can only read from a teleprompter...
...are a pathological liar...
...are a radical American-hating communist...
..etc..etc..
what will I do with my snowblower?
OH YEA!!!!!!
Texas is at the top of the list for our next move.
What place could be better?
I am a mid-westerner by birth, but have lived most of my adult life in Texas. At heart, I consider myself a Texan. Now that I have a really great job, we are looking at relocating back to Texas in 5-7 years. As for now, we are Texans-in-excile due to family and job.
God Bless Texas, their values reflect mine. Let me defend my home with lethal force, and let me defend my neighbor’s home with the same force, too. Any state that lets me blast the bad guys with impunity, is a state I want to be a member of.
Texas. You just have to set your A/C to 78F when it’s 96 outside. =)
My parents moved to Texas from Chicago 40 years ago. When I ask them about moving back north, they laugh and say, “Never!”
In Houston we pretty much have great weather except for July, August, September when it’s really hot. Once the first real cool front hits at the end of September, the weather is great all the way through June again. It’s about 3 months of hot, 7 months of just-plain-nice, and 2 months of cold.
Thanks for reminding me about the scorpions. I forgot the tarantulas and fiddleback spiders too. Oh, and those giant flying roach things they have around Houston. That should keep them away, lol.
East Texas. Very pretty, lots of beautiful trees and hills and the people are the best.
Let’s get it going, Tennesse would be proud to be a Border state.
Love to see HSA face down Texas, talk about a knife to a gun fight.
“I dont love their weather...”
In what part? It varies widely from one part of the state to another, ya know.
