Obama Requires YOU to SERVE, H.R.1388, "The Give Act" to reform the National Service Laws

HR 1388, will hit the House floor on Tuesday.It is called the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act (The Give Act.) The House is scheduled to Rule this week. Sponsored by Democrat Representative Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Education and Labor Committee. The objective is to reauthorize and reform the national service laws.

Democrat Rep. McCarthy is sponsoring the bill with 25 co-sponsors, ALL Democrats, including Charlie Rangel. Need I say more.

The courts would rule that if selective service can be enacted to require service via military draft, then other forms of “service” are just as valid and needful, and within the purview of Government responsibilities — aka they’d find a way

Thank you for the link to HR1388. I downloaded it. Wow...what a read. Extremely hard to decipher. I did manage to see on page. 258 lines 7-11, the appropriations of 100,000,000 for the year 2010, and after that 2011-2014 “such sums as may be necessary for each fiscal year”. So where is this money going to come from?

Do you know the specific Section where you found this "gem?" What does Senator McCain think about this language and the intention behind this? Has he read the Bill?

This is a hard slap in the face for everyone but especially our brave men and women in the military.

We all have to stand up and SCHOOL Congress. I bet no one in Congress has READ this Bill. They all should be "fired" for incompetence and negligence. The AR-15 I ordered can't get here soon enough. Do you think it will be Politically Incorrect to call the Obama Volunteer Corps "Brown Shirts"? I hear the King wants them to have the same budget as the Military.

I think John McCain may have a slight problem with it. I say feel free. I wish John McCain worked on Sundays because I'd call his office and ask for his Chief of Staff. I'd ask him if McCain has read the Bill and then I would ask him if the Senator plans on voting for it? I feel like I already know the answer to these two questions.
