I need some positive reasons why not to plan for a SHTF scenario.

I am seriously thinking of taking to steps to go to a survivalist approach planning to survuve total chaos and financial and institutional break down. Some one please help me see why this is not going to happen. Thanks

Why you didn't say Podunk, TX instead of Podunk, AR?. I live outside a small town and I have been blessed with a more than half decent life. I doubt you could pay me enough money to move to a big city and live out the rest of my life there.

I said “Arkansas” because I grew up in a small town in Arkansas. It’s not the town I grew up in. And I know a preposition is something you should never end a sentence with.

Pack up and leave the country first. There are plenty of places, like Mexico or Cost Rica, where you can live cheaply and not have to fight a war in your own home. It’s also a double-edged revenge, because Congress can pass laws to “bail out” whoever they wish but you won’t be around to pay the bill!

No. Seriously. I myself can say nothing to dissuade you from preparing for the inevitable unless of course you are a Christian. In that case I would say trust God and know that the end is here.
JMHO!

Apparently, God didn't make us smart for nothing......
A devout Christian heard an urgent news report on his radio that a flash flood was within minutes of entering the peaceful valley where he lived. Immediately he went to his knees and prayed for safety. The words were still on his lips when he became aware that water was gushing under his door. He retreated to the second floor and finally onto the roof of his house.
While he sat on the roof, a helicopter flew by and the pilot asked over the loudspeaker if they could lift him off.
It's not necessary since I have the Lord's protection, he replied.
Moments later the house began to break up and he found himself clinging to a tree. A police boat, braving the waters, approached him for rescue, but he assured them that the Lord would save him.
Finally, the tree gave way and the man went to his death.
Standing before the Lord, he asked, Lord, I'm glad to be here, but why didn't You answer my prayer for safety?
The Lord responded, Son, I told you over the radio to get out of there Then I sent you a helicopter and a motor boat!

The Lord responded, Son, I told you over the radio to get out of there Then I sent you a helicopter and a motor boat! Yeah.... I've heard the joke. Undoubtedly thought up by a nonbeliever. As I shared, I cannot dissuade you from trusting in your own devices to survive the coming troubles. I personally will trust God and believe Him when he tells me that, as one of His elect, I'll be caught up to be with Him and so shall I ever be with the Lord.
Christians are in the world. We are not of the world.
Christians make God their Lord. We are lead of Him and protected by Him by receiving from Him through Jesus Christ via the Holy Ghost.
I hope your way works for you.

Canned Ham or Spam with Pineapple is quite tasty; add Sweet and Sour sauce and it’s even better.
