"Create a Civilian Assistance Corps (CAC): There is presently no mechanism for civilians with special skill-sets (be they doctors, lawyers, engineers, city planners, agriculture specialists, police, etc.) and a sense of service, to be trained and organized to help their nation when it needs them. The Civilian Assistance Corps (modeled after similar auxiliary groups in Virginia and California) would provide each federal agency a pool of volunteer experts willing to deploy in crises. They would be pre-trained and screened for deployment to supplement departments’ expeditionary teams. The creation of such a corps would ensure that true experts carry out tasks such as restoring electricity or creating banking systems, rather than the current practice of expecting already over-burdened soldiers to assume these roles. An Obama administration will set a goal of creating a national CAC of 25,000 personnel"

Build civilian capacity to promote stability and tackle security challenges with a ‘whole of government’ approach, so that our troops are not alone in the fight

Okay everyone - this video finally got your attention.

Some of us have been sounding this alarm for some time and emailing the short list of media that just might pick it up.

We have a tiny window left to try one more time. If you all in here are so upset and ‘get it’ - then think of what would happen if we finally got this on the news.

So - are you all willing to put take 5 minutes RIGHT NOW and email this video to the list below AND to everyone in your email addresses and ask them to do the same? Or would you just rather sit here and natter?

Here's the link to the video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwaAVJITx1Y

Here's what to do with it: (Don't say you don't have time. the clocks turn back tonight. You have an extra hour - and this will only take 5 minutes 0 NO EXCUSES. ;o)

Remember the formula of the networks: The office people that screen the emails only pass them on when they get X-amount on a given subject. Be sure to add your name and town and email - or they won't read them. IMPORTANT when emailing. they won’t read mass emails - SO, put just one email add in the “to” line then click on BBC at the end of that line. a BCC line will open just above subject line. copy paste the rest of the addresses in there and each recipient will see ONLY their name - and in the subject line make reference to _Obama's New Police?_

When the power’s out, other power companies go into other states. He’d be paying teams to be on stand by? I mean, we’d be paying teams to be on stand by?

Here's a couple of other quotes from O’s other speeches:

But it’s also important that a president speaks to military service as an obligation not just of some, but of many

And I think it’s important for the president to say, this is an important obligation. If we are going into war, then all of us go, not just some.
-
Well, there’s no doubt that if there are wars going on and some are being asked to sacrifice their lives, that I think you have to ask yourself, why them instead of you? And so I think there are special obligations during wartime

-
And for us to say, serve in the military, but if that’s not where you want to serve, learn a foreign language and go into the foreign service. And by the way, we will deploy you in some difficult areas, but that’s part of what it means to be an American and to serve and to sacrifice

-
So we’ve got to transform Washington. And we’ve got to do some house cleaning. But what we also want to do is to remind young people that if it weren’t for government, then we wouldn’t have a Civil Rights Act. If it weren’t for government, we would not have the interstate highway system. If it weren’t for government, we would not have some of our parks and natural wilderness areas that are so precious to America.

And so part of my job, I think, as president, is to make government cool again

-
Part of what is interesting about our campaign, for example, is that when young people come in, we work them like dogs. I mean, and they are given big responsibilities
-
I want to mobilize seniors to get involved with their schools or their local hospital or health clinic.

So, look, do I expect that my national service plan gets passed exactly as I proposed? Of course not. That’s not the way legislation works.

my Note:

There are people who have said that Obama is referring to community service when he refers to this Civilian National Security Force. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS IS TRUE. He is revering to a specific thing: a National Civilian Security Force. He also mentions other service by name, such as An Americorp, Peacecorp, Seniors assist teaching in schools, foreign languages, etc. And then he specifically mentions the Security Force. The whole thing is strange. That is wants to require citizens to such a level of national service. The whole thing is creepy.

There will always be the delusional on the Left. This posted after THEY first threatened "civil war". Funny, they haven't described how they will do that, when it will be them on the gallows and the military in a coup mode doing the hanging that we can't get to.

No, you don’t get it. Yes, it’s anti-capitalist, but what he’s saying is “I’ll put you poor, poor soldiers ahead of the evil and greedy CEOs Dubya’s been kissing up to for eight years.” He’s not going to put th military itself ahead of the CEOs, but the soldiers individually.

And the reason he says it is so civilians who know nothing about the way Dubya has treated the military will swoon and think of Barack taking a bag of money from a robber baron and giving it to a slobberingly grateful G.I. Joe.

It’s scary until you look at the people involved in ACORN and America’s youth. You’ll have to peel them away from their video games and ipods before you can even begin to try to organize them. Obama is a socialist thug, but if you want to raise the ire of today’s youth, just try telling them what to do.

He’s not familiar with freedom, is he? Everyone but him is supposed to sacrifice for the government. Is ACORN going to mobilize Americans? That would uh, like not work.

Thanks, this place is awesome. We recently moved to Montgomery County, MD. I feel like I just walked into anepisode of The Twilight Zone, where a thick fog has descended upon the city, mezmerizing the masses, as they wander around like drones, in a trance with Obama bumper stickers on their Mercedes and BMWs, mumbling “hope” and “change”.

The Slavs were/are people of a differing character and life view from Americans, more susceptible to the type of system developed under Stalin, and later maintained in a softened form by Nikita Kruschev et. al. Often extremely bright, they excelled in the arts and the sciences, did have a strong patriotic "can-do" attitude, and were/are quite concerned with bragging rights (biggest nation, biggest thermonuclear device, biggest plane, biggest dam, etc.). The Slavs, as a group, tend to approach work in short, violent spurts, (the very word for work Rabata has roots in that connotation) with far greater emphasis on quantity than quality. That is a Slavic trait, grossly generalized of course and applied to the common laborer, and not necessarily a product of the Soviet system.

The notion of individualism - fighting much less dying for individual freedom was foreign, without question the product of 73 years of their former system but also part of the reason for its original acceptance; they were content with guaranteed work, housing, and vodka to numb everything. It's the classic case study for the choice of security over freedom. The relevance of all this is, what about us? Is this what we want, too? Were the Soviets truly happy under that system - without the aid of their vodka?

Oh, great... now he wants a national police force to compete with our local law enforcement officers? Just like Venezuela!

Didn't the Left used to howl about the FBI????

The apache’s have to land sometime and then they are vulnerable as are their fuel supplies.

Also, the US military does not have a lot of spare missles.

Nuclear blackmail is the only way for Obama to achieve dictatorship.

NObama is a clown.

I'm a fan of Mad Magazine.

There will be no "Civilian National Security Force" anywhere but outside of NObama's Senate office to toss his ass out.
And I've ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF MY COUNTRY. ALWAYS.

Don’t get me wrong, I think we’d win...but consider that the population of the Soviet Union probably dwarfed the number of “law enforcement” and military under arms.
~~~
Correct,,,But,,,
Americans are not 1917 Russians,,,
We have a history of defending this country,,,
I see no way this country could be “taken” at this point,,,
Remember when CWI started that Robert E. Lee went SOUTH,,,
This won’t be a North~South thing...
It is about nuclear blackmail, not hand to hand combat.
That is surrender or else face destruction.
