Don’t get me wrong, I think we’d win...but consider that the population of the Soviet Union probably dwarfed the number of “law enforcement” and military under arms.

That’s going to be the hard thing...unlike 1861, we may have trouble telling who the enemy is. Infiltration will be easier, and finding a center of gravity to hit may be difficult.
But we’ll win.
How about if Obama replaces the people with the US nukes with a few thousand of his people ? He has the nuclear codes and announces that the US will have to follow his orders or be anihilated. Would the US citizens fight or would they rather be destroyed ?
