Coalition forces capture four SG criminals, destroy VBIED
BAGHDAD Coalition forces captured four suspected Special Groups criminals during a raid in southeast Baghdad Tuesday.
Acting on intelligence information, Coalition forces targeted a suspected Iranian-trained Special Groups commander in the Karadah district of Baghdad. According to information provided by suspected Special Groups criminals already detained, the suspected outlaw has facilitated numerous attacks on Coalition bases. These attacks included several early May rocket attacks on the Green Zone that injured several Iraqi civilians and security force members.
During their search of the suspected criminals hide out, Coalition forces discovered a vehicle being prepared for use as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. In order to prevent criminals from using the weapon in the future, Coalition forces moved the vehicle away and destroyed it.
Coalition forces are removing illegal weapons used to inflict terror and destruction against the Iraqi people, said U.S. Army Capt. Charles Calio, MNF-I spokesperson.

“Hezbollah: Iran’s Army in Lebanon”
By Elias Bejjani
FrontPageMagazine.com | Tuesday, June 24, 2008
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Hezbollah is not a Lebanese party by any criteria, but rather a foreign army in Lebanon. Its decision-making process, financing, ideology, training, supplies and weapons all come from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards headquarters and leadership. It has been well documented by several informed resources that Iran annually pays Hezbollah billions of dollars. This group was founded in Lebanon by the Iranian mullahs in 1982 and it is worth mentioning that Hezbollah’s main mission was and still is to export, advocate and spread the Khomeini religious ideology to all Middle Eastern countries. Hezbollah’s Iranian mission has never been a secret and each and every Lebanese is reminded of this Iranian agenda daily with signs of Hezbollahs divinity on every street.
Hezbollah is purported to be the most dangerous terrorist organization in the world. The organization is trained, heavily armed and very well equipped. It is operationally supported by Syria and heavily funded by Iran. In fact, Hezbollah is so dangerous in terms of its global reach and influence, that the US Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff recently warned that the Hezbollah organization makes Al Qaeda look like a minor league team..(according to military analyst W. Thomas Smith Jr.)
Needless to say that force and deterrence is the only language that Hezbollah and its masters in both Iran and Syria understand.”

RUMINT continues regarding the potential Israeli lead attack on Iran’s nuclear program. Israel denies the following exercise was in preparation for such an attack, but the distances and equipment mix suggest otherwise

Israel Is Ready To Go
Israel is one major step closer to launching a strike against Iran ‘s nuclear facilities. Last week, the New York Times quoted a U.S. official who said a major military exercise was carried out by Israel earlier this month. It had all the signs of a practice run for a potential strike against Iran.
“More than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighter jets took part in maneuvers over the eastern Mediterranean and Greece in the first week of June to gear the military for long-range strikes,” said the New York Times.
“The exercise also included helicopters, which could be used in rescuing downed pilots, with the helicopters and refueling tankers flying over 900 miles (1,440 kilometers), roughly the same distance between Israel and Iran’s uranium enrichment plant at Natanz,” the Times website reported.
What makes this exercise such an important milestone is Israel’s ability to demonstrate that it is capable of carrying out an air attack at the distance needed to reach Iran. Beforehand, many analysts thought the Jewish state would need American military assistance for this type of task.

“Boycott campaign moves ahead, issues new poster”
By Linda Hindi
AMMAN -
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Launched in late February to protest against the republication of disturbing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, The Messenger of Allah Unites Us campaign was relaunched in mid-June to add products from the Netherlands after Dutch MP Geert Wilders posted an anti-Islam film on the Internet.
The ultimate goal, according to campaign spokesperson Zakaria Sheikh, is to enact a universal law that prohibits the defamation of any prophet or religion, similar to the international legislation banning anti-Semitism.
Sheikh told The Jordan Times that the boycott will assist them in providing proof of the harm of hateful messages when advocating for the law.”

“Symposium: Islamic Cultural Genocide”
By Jamie Glazov
FrontPageMagazine.com | Friday, June 06, 2008
ARTICLE-INTERVIEW-SYMPOSIUM SNIPPET: “Peter BetBasoo, lets begin with you.
Pave the foundation for us for a discussion on Islamic cultural genocide.
BetBasoo: Thank you, Jamie. First I would like to send my greetings to the distinguished panelists, especially Rev. Roderick, with whom I have worked on many occasions since 1995.
There is a pernicious and deadly effect of Islam that manifests itself only when a long range study of Islam’s interaction with non-Muslim cultures is undertaken; that effect is Islam’s eradication of other cultures and communities, identities and ideas. When Islam comes to dominate other cultures, those other cultures are often destroyed.”
“Israel Is Ready To Go”
OPINION - SPECULATION: I think Israel is ready and if necessary, they will do the hard stuff that apparently no one else has the will to do.
I have been praying that the Iranians would clean up their mess.
I have always thought though, that this whole can of worms started when Carter became President and screwed up world affairs which of course, includes Iran.
This puzzles me - Olmert was such a spineless noodle dealing with the Hezzies in Lebananon, but he is ready to ratchet up the nukes by striking Iran?
I have always thought though, that this whole can of worms started when Carter became President and screwed up world affairs which of course, includes Iran.
Something like those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it.
RE HISTORY: YEP.
Re Olmert — OPINION-SPECULATION: Maybe he viewed some intelligence reports that we haven’t seen online, yet.
