I think you’ll note that I never advocated the male indiviual be left alone with the kids. Heck, I’d avoid that like the plague. That doesn’t mean that you couldn’t have the kids around. Done properly, I think men can provide a productive atmosphere for kids, one in which the man wouldn’t have to expose himself to charges of doing bad things. Just use your head.

A guy at the photography site, DPReview, left a post titled “So now I’m a prevert.” He’s a grandfather and the unofficial family photographer. At a summer family get-to-gether he was taking pictures of the children in their bathing suits. His wife came up to him to tell him he shouldn’t be doing that. She had to spell out to him what she meant. He was stunned.

Yesterday a middle school kid came selling stuff for some school function. The wife and I were both home. Course we wanted to participate since our kids did the same thing in our neighbor when in school.
In the old days, I would have invited him in while my wife reviewed the purchase options from his catalog. Instead, I had him sit on the porch while my wife thumbed thru the catalog in our study to find something to order from the kid.
Sadly, this is where we are today in our society. Not knowing the kid nor his parents, I just couldn’t risk inviting him in. Sound un-neighborly? You know it was. But this is where we are.

What you are now referring to is why you don't have as many reported cases of statutory rape by older females.
To be honest, I don’t know that I would ever have invited the kid in. Without anything in particular in mind, I’d have felt some unease in the situation.

A)Men commit the vast majority of crimes against kids.
B)The vast majority of men are just guys walking around trying to lead honest lives.
Both statements are true. Which one do you use as a guiding principle when it comes to keeping your kids safe?
Depends on what you'll accept as evidence. If we assume that the mother's who finally get arrested after the child dies or subsequent children have similar numerous accidents were also responsible for the earlier "accidents" then its supportable. Like I said, violent men leave less doubt and tend to run, vice cry victim.
My wife is an ER physician and the bulk of the child endangerment, outright abuse that she sees is the result of the mother or female relative. The rapes are from males. As you say, usually mommy's new boyfriend. Who mommy is no doubt attracted to due to his hyper-sexual nature and lack of selectivity.
My point was not male bashing, my point was that the media is being blamed for a problem that was created in the first place by perverts and thugs. The automatic reaction here is to blame women.
To the extent that the media reports the facts, I think that's great. When they promote the general idea that men are all dangerous, I think that's counterproductive.
Without the political female influence, I think you would find male justice on such perps to be far harsher than is currently the case. Perhaps that is something to ponder? Are they high recidivism rates do to misplaced mercy by the female population?
I would certainly prioritize pedophiles for the death penalty over murderers. Murderers may never kill again.

I’d suggest that my original assertion was correct.
Men kill their wives more frequently than the opposite but mostly the differance shows up in spousal abuse. I’d go along with the concept that woman abuse...ie hit and fight physically with their husbands waaaaay more often than is reported.
But when it comes to man versus woman...come on....the man’s going to win most times.
But as to men arranging the murder of their spouse, either via pre-plan or spontaneous, I’d suggest it’s very close to equal.
Many women plotting to kill their husbands do arrange for another party far more frequently than men do.
Still....nah...even your quotes are vague. No way do more women kill their husbands than husbands kill their wives.
But again....spousal murder is way closer in terms of each sex as culprit than most people believe.
