Here are a few interesting articles on the subject of whether wives kill more husbands or vice versa.
I would suggest you read some of them with a somewhat jaundiced eye, gleening only what makes sense in the greater context of numerous articles.

Short summary at the bottom of this post.

The first article is a little too obtuse on the first page, but actually begins to make some good points on the second.  It's premise is that the figures are probably about equal.  Something that seriously challenges the premise of the MSM and women's advocacy groups.  One of the problems with documenting spousal murders by women, is that they frequently use partners to commit the act, or actually hire someone to do it.  This makes it more difficult to classify some husband deaths accurately.

HOW WOMEN'S ADVOCATES TRY TO FOOL YOU ABOUT SPOUSAL MURDER

The next article was written by Alan Dershowitz.  In it he addresses the ratios wives vs husbands.  Several side issue factoids are included.  For instance, in the focus group, women killed more men that vise versa.  Check the article out for some other intersting asides involving minorities and other factoids.

WIVES ALSO KILL HUSBANDS, QUITE OFTEN

The next article references a number of interesting studies.  It's loaded with interesting facts derived from them.  For instance, "Violent Men, Violent Couples (1986) Chapter 3. In a study, 15.5% of men and 11.3% of women reported having hit a spouse while 18.6% of men and 12% of women reported been struck by a spouse. Nisnoff & Bitman, Victimology 4, (1979), pp. 131-140.  This is another interesting read on the subject.

There are a lot of links out there on the issue of abuse.  I used the phrase
wives kill husbands "wives kill husbands" for my Google search.  This search brough up articles that had many statistical references that addressed homicides committed by husbands as well as wives.  Click below to review the complete list of articles I ran across.

It is safe to say that wives kill husbands in about the same numbers as husbands kill wives.  It is interesting to note the many side issues associated with this family dynamic though.  For instance, domestic abuse against the spouse is reported to be higher by women against men, except that the men who do carry it out seem to rise to a worse level than the women who do, on the average.  It is also noted that women use weapons at a far greater rate than men do.  It is also noted that outside of marriage, women seem to kill more men than men do women.

It is an intersting topic, and media presentations seldom bare little connection with the facts.

I’d suggest that my original assertion was correct.

Men kill their wives more frequently than the opposite but mostly the differance shows up in spousal abuse. I’d go along with the concept that woman abuse...ie hit and fight physically with their husbands waaaaay more often than is reported.

But when it comes to man versus woman...come on....the man’s going to win most times.

But as to men arranging the murder of their spouse, either via pre-plan or spontaneous, I’d suggest it’s very close to equal.

Many women plotting to kill their husbands do arrange for another party far more frequently than men do.

Still....nah...even your quotes are vague. No way do more women kill their husbands than husbands kill their wives.

But again....spousal murder is way closer in terms of each sex as culprit than most people believe.
