I see you don’t like to face facts.

You mean like this true fact?

"Children who die of physical abuse are more often victims of female perpetrators, usually mothers, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services."

Clearly, women cannot be trusted around kids or they'll kill them.

(Makes about as much sense as some of your previous posts on this thread, Scotswife.)

B)The vast majority of men are just guys walking around trying to lead honest lives.

Curious statement.

I told you. They don’t like the truth.

Why? Because it implies some underlying guilt? That wasn’t my intent. My intent was to indicate they want to do the right thing, i.e. stop at stop signs, pay taxes, etc. etc.

I think every response by Scotswife is true.

Just so you know that YOUR assessment is not the only one.

But yea, I didn’t see Scotswife denying the truth that mothers generally abuse their own children more than the fathers. I’m not jumping up and down and acting like a damn monkey over this fact.

What’s your point?

Oh yeah, I also believe it takes marginally more effort in the short term to lead an honest life than a dishonest one. But that just may be me.

Curious statement.

That used to be a common expression and I would not have read anything into it.

Yikes! That hurt worse than Clint’s statement.

Its very sad when good men can't bring themselves to keep a child safe because society views them as potentially dangerous. There are more female sexual predators in the news, for what its worth.

Sorry. :-)

If you're old used to the expression then you get it. If not then you might wonder at it.

My point is it's completely asinine to say that you'd never let your kids be around men but you would let them be around women because you think women are so much more dang safe.

I must have read it in a book somewhere. Yeah, that’s it, I read it in a book of arcane American expressions. It was actually titled Arcane American Expressions You’re Much Too Young to Actually Know First Hand.

A very small minority of men abuse, kidnap and murder children. These of us who aren't care for them. But in our society, every man is now viewed as guilty until proven innocent.

You gotta wonder what kind of a mom let’s a little boy go into a Wal-Mart (or any other restaurant’s or store’s) bathroom by himself.

My son would have never had that problem...hand washing isn’t a big deal with him!!!!

That's one of the things that bother me. If I stop to watch some kids play ball then any dangerous characters will move on. If I avoid the kids then the dangerous people have an open field, so to speak.

wouldn’t do it today for nothing.

Ten years ago I had some time to kill on a midwinter business trip to Minneapolis, so I visited the Mall of America with my camera. I struck a photographic diamond mine - a Legoland filled with children. Nothing is more photogenic than small children playing with bright colors. I don't suppose that today I could spend an hour shooting other people's children, and live to tell about it.

We're so habituated to seeing everything negatively that seeing life positively and appreciating good people come into our lives as friends and family takes a lot of effort. Maybe perpetual suspicion of men is easier than appreciating all the good they do to create a sense of safety and happiness for every one.
