We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
Fatima, I don’t think this is a good thread for you to be on. Too painful. But please don’t leave FR. We need you here. Those who have left, did so of their own accord. They have begged to be zotted. There’s bound to be some celebrating from those they have abused, but please don’t let that get to you. You’re too kind and tender to get caught up in this.
And a darn fine beer.
You’ve got FRmail, fatima.
Ditto what Bayb said, fatima.
Girlfriend...? No way will you be banned, hey.
Fatima, please think about this. Sleep on it.
Probably 'cause you were wearing that very stylish hat of yours...
You sound like I did when I was dating my hubby. First relationship in many years, out of the blue. We met cause we were both interested in civil war history!
I called him my midlife miracle (since old maids like me weren’t supposed to find their True Love at the age of 43)
Hopes that you find joy in your relationship, too!
Well, he was the one who stirred up the mob...
;-)
You have a good ping list, right? Get some folks in here to stop her.
Sweetheart, nobody would even dream of wanting to ban you.
Touche. :-)
James A. Garfield

(snip)
In 1862, when Union military victories had been few, he successfully led a brigade at Middle Creek, Kentucky, against Confederate troops. At 31, Garfield became a brigadier general, two years later a major general of volunteers.
Meanwhile, in 1862, Ohioans elected him to Congress. President Lincoln persuaded him to resign his commission: It was easier to find major generals than to obtain effective Republicans for Congress. Garfield repeatedly won re-election for 18 years, and became the leading Republican in the House.
At the 1880 Republican Convention, Garfield failed to win the Presidential nomination for his friend John Sherman. Finally, on the 36th ballot, Garfield himself became the “dark horse” nominee.
By a margin of only 10,000 popular votes, Garfield defeated the Democratic nominee, Gen. Winfield Scott Hancock.
Yep. :-)
“I agree, ban me next.I am coming closer to the light.will pass word out .”
This is the exact scenario that plays out. People hearing about all of the “bannings”, and then they add themselves to the list by their choice. We’ll people will now be saying that you were banned. Will you tell people that you were banned or will you tell them you asked to be banned?
I truely am curious, as I’ve read from the absolute beginning of the thread, and there’s been some people listing their friends names in their post and saying “these were my friends”. And I’m sitting back and thinking, yes, and each one of them specifically asked to be banned.
And there is one here on FR, too...it’s my biggest ping list, although we don’t get together that often.
