John Kerry Responding to Republican Distortions, Pathetic Tony Snow Diversions and Distractions

Washington Senator John Kerry issued the following statement in response to White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, assorted right wing nut-jobs, and right wing talk show hosts desperately distorting Kerrys comments about President Bush to divert attention from their disastrous record:
If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq and not the president who got us stuck there, they're crazy. This is the classic G.O.P. playbook. Im sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did.
Im not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium, or doughy Rush Limbaugh, who no doubt today will take a break from belittling Michael J. Foxs Parkinsons disease to start lying about me just as they have lied about Iraq. It disgusts me that these Republican hacks, who have never worn the uniform of our country lie and distort so blatantly and carelessly about those who have.
The people who owe our troops an apology are George W. Bush and Dick Cheney who misled America into war and have given us a Katrina foreign policy that has betrayed our ideals, killed and maimed our soldiers, and widened the terrorist threat instead of defeating it. These Republicans are afraid to debate veterans who live and breathe the concerns of our troops, not the empty slogans of an Administration that sent our brave troops to war without body armor.
Bottom line, these Republicans want to debate straw men because theyre afraid to debate real men. And this time it wont work because were going to stay in their face with the truth and deny them even a sliver of light for their distortions. No Democrat will be bullied by an administration that has a cut and run policy in Afghanistan and a stand still and lose strategy in Iraq.

Hey, it's written itself.
Just one or two more shopworn talking points, and a teensy bit more mouth-foam, and IH's work is done.

Here is the transcript of F'n mocking the American fighting man. This should be in a television commercial in every close House and Senate race.I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Just think of the commercial they could throw together with that clip!:
"Here's a Democrat Vietnam "vet" and what he thinks of our military...
J Fn'K: BLAH... BLAH... BLAH... Stuck in Iraq
Do you really want the Democrats in charge of our country?"
Something to that effect would be SWEET!
To: Mo1
You'd think he looked up to the military the way he likes to imitate them when he "reports to duty".

"If anyone thinks a veteran would criticize the more than 140,000 heroes serving in Iraq...."
Well I wouldn't have thought so until I saw and heard the sneering condescension and contempt expressed by John "Vichy" Kerry for those heroes (and it's far more than 140,000, apparently Kerry can't count all the heroes who have returned). NO, Kerry was obviously not talking just about Bush and Iraq policy, he clearly implied that only people too dumb or lazy to pursue their education properly could get "stuck in Iraq." Kerry displayed the kind of supercilious loathing that he truly feels for large portions of the US population and especially our great military - it's in such occasional unguarded moments that we see the real John Kerry and the real Demagogic Party.

Oh come on. This must be a joke. He can't have really said this. He did, and it is consistent with David Wade's other writings...like the time after Lurch came up with the "terrorizing women in the dead of night" line in late December of last year...the response included lines like "political hack Ken Mehlman" and "draft dodging donut eating Rush Limbaugh"...I remember hearing it while I was on vacation in Big Bear, first week of December.

Neoliberalism is a mental disorder, highlighted by cognitive dissonance. The closer neoliberals come to raw natural truth, the more unstable they become. It's sad to watch, dangerous in rulers, and doomed to miserable failure.

Kerry's press release is unusually hateful even for him.
The level of demagoguery is kind of frightening. This is definitely the talk of someone who if given a chance would use the FCC and the Justice Department to take Rush and Fox of the air and shut down Conservative blogs.

Let me get this straight....he was taking a swipe at the President....the same one who had as high or higher grades in college as sKerry....an MBA from an Ivy League school. Made his money instead of marrying it and keeps his word instead of flip-flopping like Lurch....Sure John, I get it....by the way, want to buy a bridge....(line for kool-aid drinkers forms to the left)

Here is my letter to John Kerry:
Dear Mr. Kerry,
I wanted to write to you to express my utter outrage at your comments about our military men and women serving in Iraq and throughout the world!
You are truly a disgrace to the entire country, a disgrace to the people of Mass. and an utter disgrace to the US Senate!
You should resign your Senate seat immediately! There is no excuse, no spin and no apology you can offer to undo or gloss over your despicable remarks!
To: Aquamarine
Those are such half-a$$ed salutes. You can tell he is a slacker.

I'm trying to be sensible here but this Kerry quote, folks it bought tears to my eyes. I have a grandson getting close to military age. Whatever his choice, know that I could never be less prideful should he choose the uniform of his country and serve it so bravely or strive for physician status. For Kerry to have said what he said, I'm perfectly serious, I felt the pain those prideful and hopeful troops might feel when they hear about it. What a very mean slap in the face. A slap in the face to the best this country has to offer. Ladies and gems, it's the Middle Class who supplies the soldiers to defend this country. Get it? The Middle Class, that great body of people who carry this country on their backs while struggling to raise the next generation of citizens and soldiers. In other words, it's US! Sure we're just average schlubs, not blue-blooded like the great John F. Kerry. We obey the laws, we don't riot over cartoons, we work jobs and we keep this country neat and clean out here in la-la land. No country ever succeeds without a mighty but mostly productive Middle Class. And here this man just reached out and slapped every one of us in the face. Slapped us and haughtily reminded us that we but a hoard of idiots existing to keep the likes of John Kerry and his ilk up at their proper social status as he sees it. There is not enough anger in the universe as I feel for this despicable man and trying not to be too melodramatic, I apologize to our military right now for the words of this man. Not a single one of us carrying this country on our backs shares John Kerry's disdain. We admire our soldiers as it was US, America's mighty Middle Class, who supplied the soldiers. Our military will always be a source of our silly plebian pride and joy. Hope some military guys see this.DITTO AND BUMP!! Our son enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for 8 years. He is extremely intelligent, scored one of the highest scores in our state on the exam, and became an expert in satellite communications. He served proudly and with honor. He served in Iraq. John Kerry has insulted our military men and women in the past, and he continues to do so to this day. This man deserves no respect whatsoever from any American.
