I don't watch television shows like the one Rosie O'Donnell is on but I did see a replay of her saying that radical Christianity is just as dangerous as radical Islam.
First of all, I don't know what Ms. O'Donnell is referring to when she says radical Christianity. When compared to radical Islam it would have to mean that there is a sect of Christians who hates and persecutes every other religion in the world.
A group who straps explosives to their bodies and blows up innocent women and children. They would have to sacrifice their sons and daughters as suicide bombers. They would have to be willing to hack off heads with the whole world watching.
They would have to be willing to wage worldwide war against anybody who isn't a Christian. They would treat women like cattle and indoctrinate their children with hate.
They would have to believe that the only sure way to get to Heaven is to die killing other human beings in the name of their deity.
They would advocate a form of government which would strip away all civil and personal rights and turn the power to govern over to humorless old men who encourage their sons and daughters to go out and die for their cause.
I have been around Christians all my life, many denominations, many different people who interpret the Holy Bible slightly differently from each other. I have been in charismatic churches, Evangelical churches, Pentacostal churches, all kind of churches and I have never seen the kind of Christianity Ms. O'Donnell is talking about.
So where is this radical Christianity Ms. O'Donnell fears? I am an extremely well traveled person and I've never seen it.
Even the occasional nut like Jim Jones and David Koresh never did suicide bombings or beheaded people and certainly did not represent anything close to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Nor does the odd misled soul who stands beside the road with a sign saying, God hates fags. God hates the sin but loves the sinner.
Just to show you the difference, if Ms. O'Donnell had said what she did on a television network in Iran or Saudi Arabia she would have been charged with blasphemy, a crime punishable by death in some instances.
No Rosie, there is no comparison and although I vehemently disagree with what you said, instead of anger, I feel pity. You see I dont really think you even believe what you said, you're just trying to hurt somebody, and Ms. O'Donnell, if you want to know who you're really hurting, go look in the mirror.
Pray for our troops.
What do you think?
God Bless America
Charlie Daniels

I've never met Charlie Daniels, but if I did, I bet I'd like him.
Exactly.
I responded to this through the AFA and by direct email to a network head, and I haven't heard word one from them or the network. I think they are stonewalling and hope this will go away. Anybody heard a response from the netword, even an arrogant condesending one that they "fell bad they offended anyone" but doesn't actually admit or apologise for anything?
bttt
Too bad old Rosie doesn't get the chance to run up against a moslim............she might find out what real hate looks like.
CD sings Gospel, preaches the Word, plays his favorite songs, and adds a few others.
One of the country music award shows told him he couldn't play his song "This Ain't No Rag" and he refused to appear on the show.
What a man!
Either abject servitude, compulsory conversion...or death by beheading. My guess is in her case, because of how they view her particular life style, the prize would be behind door number 3 in any case.
Rosie O is a joke. Barbara Walters should never have HAND PICKED her for The View. Big Mistake! But Rosie has her supporters who clap everytime Rosie says anything against the President! ABC is a scam!
Here Here, Charlie, YOU ARE THE MAN!! Rosie is mad at the Catholic church, and all of the Christian churches for that matter because they refer to her lesbian lifestyle abhorrant by any standard, and in the tradition of being Christian, it is. We are supposed to sit there and let the insults and threats come from the likes of O'Donnell....in a pigs eye!! She dishes it out...let her take it. Charlie Daniels is a true hero in my book because he does stand up to this tirade by a so called member of the MSM and Hollywood.
Me too. He kind of reminds me of the some straight-shooting, common-sense, salt of the earth guys I knew growing up.
I can just hear Rosie O's reaction to Charlie. I'm sure she would snort with condescension at the thought of having an intelligent conversation with a backwoods country music star. Yet, he speaks with far more intelligence and clarity than does she.
Amen, Charlie. Amen.
Plain truth is best stated in plain language, and sometimes it takes plain folk to pull it off.
I have and you would.
Charlie Daniels post quite a few interesting papers on his web site. He is straight forward, and usually pretty dead-on. Go see the Soap Box on his web site, http://www.charliedaniels.com
I'd lump him and Bum Phillips in a hat and go from there...
I believe that line is
On a Pittsburgh Steelers FAN
Charlie Daniels is a good guy all around.
While I largely agree with what CD says here, this line:
"They would have to believe that the only sure way to get to Heaven is to die killing other human beings in the name of their deity."
Is actually not accurate. Martyrs go to heaven-- but the definition of martyr is loose. It can include those who live the "correct" life of Islam-- presumably, however, that would include acquiesence to it's barbarity-- or it's outright support.
He even did songs for a Veggie Tales episode - "Minnesota Cuke"
